Correcting My Mistake

Chapter 1

Chelsea gives him a sad look as she reaches out her hand to him.

''Oh, Daniel. I'm so very sorry. I had no idea. Now I understand why you kept pushing me away. You were and probably still are afraid that the same thing could happen to me, right?''

Daniel gives her smile before he gently reaches out taking her hand in his.

"Yes, that's exactly why I pushed you away.''

''All right. But, now that we have admitted to each other that we have feelings for each other doesn't that kind of throw the doctor/patient confidentially out the window?''

Chelsea replies looking at Daniel as she takes takes a hold of his hand in hers.

Just then Hope speaks up.

''She has a point, Daniel. You two deserve a chance to see where things go.''

Chelsea looks at Hope with a raise eyebrow.

''Wait a minute. What happened to you being against Daniel and I being together?''

''That was before your grandmother opened her mouth and admitted that she inserted herself in between the two of you so that way she could use her sexuality to try and steal Daniel away from being with you.''

Hope tells Chelsea.

''I don't know if I am ever going to be able to look at her let alone forgive her for trying to keep Daniel and I apart.''

Chelsea tells them as she feels Daniel reaching out and taking her hand in his.

Meanwhile outside of Chelsea's hospital room Kate is pacing up and down the hall beyond angry that Daniel ended things with her so that he could start dating Chelsea. As Kate is pacing she has no idea that both Lucas and Billie have arrived and are watching her wondering why she's not inside with Chelsea.

''Mom, why aren't you inside with everyone?''

Billie asks Kate.

Just as Kate is about to reply Bo replies instead.

''We had to kick her out because she tried to get in the way of our daughter's happiness.''

Billie looks at Bo and then at Kate angrily before she goes over and slaps her.

''You tried to hurt my little girl by taking the man she cares for. How could you!''

Kate rubs her cheek as she stares at her daughter before she replies.

"I was trying to protect her. He's going to hurt her eventually."

Billie glares at her mother with nothing but disgust.

"You don't know that. By what Chelsea tells me he's an amazing man."

"He is when it comes to being a doctor but when he leaves this hospital..........

Kate starts to say but trails off.

Bo and Billie look at Kate with a raised eyebrow.

"What are you trying to say, Kate?"

Kate looks at them as she takes a deep breath before she replies.

"I threw myself at Daniel one night. Because I thought he and I had a connection but he told me that he wasn't interested and that he was interested in Chelsea."

Bo and Billie were in shock having heard this.

"What did you say or do after he told you that he wasn't interested?"

"I tried to get him to change his mind."

Kate replies not knowing that Victor has just overheard the entire conversation and is beyond shocked and angry with her.

"Kate! How in the hell could you do that to Chelsea!"

Kate turns around to see Victor.

"I thought that you of all people would be thrilled to know that he wouldn't be perusing our granddaughter anymore and grateful that I did what I had to do in order to make sure that she didn't get her heart broken."

Victor glares at her.

"Not when it comes to seeing my granddaughter in tears over a man who you seduced because you were jealous! Does she know about it?"

Kate shakes her head no.

"All right, Bo, your her father. What do you think a proper punishment should be?"

Victor says to his son.
