Corey got on the bus it's been a week since he sent out his letter telling Elton that he was gay. He hadn't gotten a response and boy was he nervous Elton was the first guy he was liked in a long time.

Flashback summer of 6th grade

Corey really liked this guy peter Anderson ok not like OBSESSED but not in a creepy way like more in a fangirl way

Corey was best friends Peter like they did absolutely everything together and if they didn't do it together they talked about it there no secrets between them well except one Corey thought he liked guys and not girls And well that was the secret that tore them apart Corey was so scared to tell his best friend because well Peter had picked on kids for being gay and whatever but it was summer time and Corey was feeling really good about himself so he decided to tell Peter

"Hey uh Pete"

"Yeah Core" Peter was the only one who has ever called Corey "Core" Corey loved it

"I have to tell you something"

"Ok I'm listening"

"I think I'm uhh.....gay"

"Gay boy gay boy" he teased Corey felt a tear run down his face

"Oh is the gay boy gonna cry"

"No" Peter knocks Corey to the ground and kicks him in the stomach

"HEY LEAVE HIM ALONE" a unrecognizable voice spoke

"No he's gay"

"So what if he is" a guy with brown hair and green eyes now known as Coreys best friend Brennen Taylor punch Peter in the face and help him up

"I'm Brennen Taylor and you are"

"Corey Scherer and you didn't have to do that"

"Yes I did my older brother just came out as gay and I wouldn't want anyone doing that to him"

"Oh"

"Let's be best friends ok?" Brennen said

"Ok"

End of flashback

"Hey Corey you ok?"

"Yeah just getting Peter flashbacks"

"Elton is not like Peter I promise"

"And if he is?"

"You get to punch me right in the face that's how much I believe Elton isn't like Peter"

"Ok fine but if he is get ready"

"Ok"

Corey still super nervous arrives in English mr.doh talk for the full half hour there's only ten minutes left

"Ok class time to pass out letters"

Corey gets his last like always Corey slowly opens it in fear of what Elton says then he reads it

I 100% do not have a problem with gay people. In fact, I'm gay. I've known for practically my whole life, so have my family.
I guess if we're both gay, would you want to go out with me?

Corey squeals so loud he thinks Elton can hear it the whole class looks at him his cheeks turn bright pink the whole class laugh

"Dude what'd he say" Corey hands Brennen the note and Brennen squeals loud then Corey the class looks at them

"Mr.scherer mr.Taylor something you'd like to share?"

"Um sorry mr.doh"

"It's ok don't let it happen again"

"Well.....what are you gonna say"

"What do you think of course imma say yes"

Dear Elton

I would absolutely love to go out with you, I've known I was gay since 5th grade and my family found out when I was in 6th grade but they all secretly know I was gay I use to ask my sister to dress me up like a princess

P.s thank you for making me embarrassed myself infront of my whole class by making me squeal cause I was so excited you asked me out
