there she sat in math class for second hour. hannah perez. the seventh grader no one thought of. never in gossip, just heard about it. she had her own group of friends, and her own life to worry about, not others.
hannah always day dreamed about elijah lancaster. he was the most popular eighth grader. every girl had a crush on him. yet they were in seventh grade so none of them were seriously dating him. and if they were, it's just stupid middle school romance, it doesn't count or mean anything.
when the bell rung, she grabbed her stuff and put it in her backpack, throwing it over her shoulder. she ran up to her guy best friend, beau. he always was there for her. they were friends since they were little.
they talked while walking down the hall, until she started to zone out when she saw him. elijah. he looked at her and just kept walking.
in hannah's head, that was a step closer to the right direction. but even she knew deep down, nothing would ever happen between them.
