Chapter 1

Lucy's Pov

My eyes slowly open as I see arms wrapped around my waist and I hear a familiar voice that calls out my name "luce.." I turn over to see Natsu in my bed, still sleeping and using my body as a pillow as he turns and then cushions himself between my chest as he then slowly wakes up a bit just to.

"Squishy... pillow..."

I let out a small moan due to his actions I could feel my face burning like it was going to explode, never once has Natsu done this before, I mean it could just be a small movement in his sleep, maybe he was having a nightmare and just woken up to hug the pillow??? 

I tried to think of all the excuses that told me it was just an accident, no need to worry so much, yet I had just the slightest hope that is was on purpose.

Natsu's Pov

Headfirst in between her chest, as he starts to look up at a then very red lucy, her face could put Erza's hair to shame.

I quickly sprint off her bed not wanting her to hate me, and now im falling?? 

"Oww... Luceee why'd you push me out of the damn window!!" 

she quickly replied "OH MY GOD NATSU IM SO SORRY, I didn't mean to do that!! it was an accident!!!" I heard her calling down to me as she quickly put on a large sweater that covered her body to her thighs and showed off her legs, damn she looked cute, wait what am I saying, she's my best friend and partner, I can't be thinking about her like this, she would kill me if I said this out loud.

I heard calling towards me as she opened the door as I'm still laying flat as a pancake on the streets outside her apartment. 

"Hey Luce, good morning to you too haha," I said as she quickly sprinted towards my aching body.

"Ahh!! Natsu please forgive me, I didn't mean to knock you out the window, just push you back a bit, well I mean uh... you see you kinda were uh... s-sleeping on me, and kinda using me as an uh pillow.." 

I knew exactly what she was talking out so I decided to play with her a bit...

"A pillow? whaddya mean luce?"I replied in a confused voice, she just pouted a bit and just was so damn cute.. wait what am I thinking?

"nevermind!!" she said and dashed off to get ready, I walked inside and started to raid her fridge.

~time skip to the guild brought to you by a very lazy person~

while walking by Lucy's side i smell her sweet scent of strawberries and vanilla and It was just heavenly, I feel like I want to be beside her forever, I want her to be mine... what is this feeling... could it be possible for me to be falling for my best friend? what did this mean...

"Hey, Natsu? are you okay?? also where is Happy this morning?" lucy had interrupted my thoughts. 

"Oh I told him he could go ahead to the guild last night since I was gonna sleep at your place and yea im fine," i told her with a huge smile on my face.

We then walked through the guild doors and Gajeel pulled me away onto a table separating me and lucy, I felt shattered from being away from her and then Mira had taken her to the office to talk with the master or something, I soon heard a loud and joyful scream from Mira, even her voice was ear piercing like a banshees scream.

I wondered what the hell was happening up there when Laxus started to yell my name louder and louder till I snapped out of my thoughts and into the consciousness of the guild hall and into the table of chatter that includes Gajeel, and Laxus then followed by me.

"Huh What?? what is it?" I asked

"Well its almost spring and do you know what that means?" Laxus scowled

"Uhm no? It's time to party?" I said questioningly

"Well idiot it means that its mating season for us dragon slayers, a lot like dragons we seek out to find someone to mark and somewhat love, we would know who our mate is by just feeling attracted to them and instantly want to be with them" Gajeel responded hastily

"ohhhhh" I finally understood
