The Senior Trip

Chapter 1

Kehlani's POV

"Kehlani get up, you're going to be late for school" my mom yelled.

"Mom, I'm already up."

I was looking forward to school this week because basketball season had started, so that meant that I had to cheer at every game.

"Lani hurry up, I need to use the bathroom."

I rolled my eyes.

"Dan you was up wayyy before I was, then when I decide to come in here, you all of sudden need to come in here." I said to my older brother Daniel.

"Come on Lani, hurry up."

"Wait give me five more minutes."

I was already finished doing my makeup, I just wanted him to learn his lesson.

"Why does it take girls so long to get ready, dang?"

"Why it take so long for you to move out, why it take so long for you to find a girlfriend, why it take s-."

"Arrd, Lani I get the point."

I laughed as I opened the door and bumped into him as I walked out.

"Lani, Nikki is waiting for you downstairs" my dad yelled.

Nikki is my childhood bestfriend. I met Nikki when we were in first grade. I had accidently dropped the book Moby Dick on her head, when she was bending down at the bookshelf. I had never been in trouble at school, till that day. I apologized the next day, then we became friends.

"Okay, I'm coming."

"Dang, did you forget that we were riding to school together?" Nikki asked.

"I'm not gone lie, it did slip my mind. Nah I'm just playing, I was messing with Dan." I giggled.

"Akekeke come on here, let's go." Nikki said as she rolled her eyes and almost breaking her neck.

"So Lani, did you hear that there's a new boy coming to school."

"Yeah, what about him? New people come to this school every year."

"Well I heard that he's super cute and he's really good at basketball."

"Good for him."

"Good for him? Good for him? Girl if I wasn't with Kevin I'd be all up on him."

"You haven't even seen him yet Nikki. He could be ugly. Just because some people say he cute, don't mean he really cute. And you just gone do Kevin like that? You're baddd."

"What? I said IF I wasn't with Kevin, I'd be all on that."

"Ok Nikki." I said sarcastically.

"I'll see you in Chemistry, I have to go to the office." Nikki said.

"Ok well, I'll see you in an hour and 45 minutes."

I can't seem to get the game out of my head, I am so excited to for Friday. I played basketball my freshman and sophomore year, then I became a cheerleader my junior and senior year. I wonder what I would be doing right now if I wasn't a cheerleader.

"Ms. Lynch would you care to answer the question?" my psychology teacher asked.

"What was the question again?"

"Who is the father of psychology?"

"Oh, that's um...um.. What's his name?" I said while snapping my fingers.

"I know his name, that's why I'm asking you."

"Don't try me Mr. Williams. His name is Wilhelm Wundt."

"Very good, now pay attention."

I'll be glad when this bell rings. I can't stand him. Oooh he get on my nerves. The bell doesn't dismiss you, I do face ass.

"I didn't tell you to go nowhere, take a seat. Alright y'all are dismissed."

"Hey Kehlani" Bianca and her sidekicks said.

"Hey Bianca, Brittany, and Brianna."

I call them the 3B's because all their names start with a b. I only talk to them because their on the cheerleading team and Bianca's the captain.

"What class are you headed to?"

"Umm Chemistry."

"Me too!"

"Yeah, we're in the same class."

"Oh, well walk with me to class."

"Lani what took you so long?"

"Bianca wanted me to walk with her for some reason."

"Look he's in here!"

"Who are you talking about?"

"The new kid. He's behind us. Turn around like you're trying to crack your back."

"No Nikki, I'm not about to do that."

"Do it now."

"Fine."

I turned around and saw this fine, tall boy with a beard.

"I think he saw me look at him. Why did I listen to you?"

"Because you love me."
