"Ugh, this is the second time this week that I'm late. At this rate, I won't be able to pay my college funds, or my bills." I say to myself as I run to the comic book store. "I'll be lucky if I don't get fired."Thankfully, luck is on my side today.
I check in without being noticed, and start restocking the shelves."Ah, y/n nice too see you."
I jump three feet in the air and turn, Only to see my friend, Jaehyung.
Jaehyung, was my gender non-binary friend who preferred to go by they or them pronouns. He or him was fine too.
Jaehyung was different in a way. Not because of their gender, no. Their personality in general was very different.
Jaehyung would always have some type of problem with their electronics, like it would just go blank or be completely fried.
He has this unbelievable amount of strength, he speaks Greek sometimes, but that's not really weird, and anytime mythology was brought up, he just explodes with information. To top it all off, he would say 'Oh my gods'. It's odd because of how uncommon polytheistic religions are, yet I never asked about it.
"Oh hey Jae," I start. "listen, I know I'm late again, but if you can jus--."
"Y/n, you know I can't keep sticking up for you. Trust me, I don't want to see you get fired, but I don't want my supervisors on my ass just because I'm letting you go scott-free." He stops me. "Anyway, I need you to take this book," they say and hands me a book.
This book looked really old, like it was dusty, the cover was ripped in some places, even some of the pages were worn, brittle, and ripped.
" my dad wanted me to give it to someone else, so I'm giving it to you. I thought it would do you some good after Jake died."
Jake.
My boyfriend.
He went missing the day of our anniversary. A week later, they found him dead near a lake. They still don't know how he died. I go to that lake every once in a while. To see if I can find anything. But all I see are the signs of the 12 Olympians. Which is really weird, but it might have been some kids just messing around.
"You should go home, read it there and nowhere else. Make sure no one hears you and read it aloud. Only the first page though." Jae says and they walk away.
That was, weird. And how did their dad even get this to them. They said their dad lived very far away. Not my problem though.
Time skip
Brought to you by Jin's laughWhen I got home, I changed, got comfortable, and plopped down on my couch. Then I grabbed the book Jae gave me.
'Only read the first page though.'
I delicately open the cover to the first page, to make sure I wouldn't break it on accident, and I saw a paragraph of words.
"Looks like some sort of Greek prophecy." I said to myself. If I'm being honest, this looks like a really old Greek journal, but in English.
"This curse set upon them eons ago, shall break by the words of the fated reader.
This book, given by the son of the all mighty and powerful Zues, shall free the 7 sons of the gods. The reader is the desinted of these sons."Suddenly, the words start to glow and the book starts to fly into the center of the room. Me, on the other hand, jump behind the couch in fright. Then everything shakes and then it stops and it's quite.
I don't like this, am I in a horror movie or something because this shit isn't funny.
I slowly look from behind the couch only to see seven men piled up on each other and Jae looking down at them. The glare he gives them makes my bones shiver.
Jae turns to me and gives me a huge smile. His hostile aura is instantly dropped. It suddenly hits me.
This little shit knew!
"Y/n! I didn't think you would do it so fast, but meet, your unconscious, divine harem!"
Thank you for those who waited so long for this chapter to come out. I've been so busy and I'm glad I was able to put at least one chapter up.
Don't be a quite reader be a loud one please! Feedback helps me make the story better. (;
I'll see you guys in the next update.
Bye.
