John grabbed onto the ledge and held on for dear life. His friend Joe grabbed at him, but it was no use.
"I can't hold on much longer!"
John let go. He fell down deep into the chasm, lost forever.
This all started when a note was posted on Joe's door talking about a lost mine containing buried treasure located deep in the heart of Arizona. He thought it interesting, and decided to go and look for it as an adventure. Not wanting to be alone, he invited his friend John to tag along. John accepted with eagerness in his voice. Now, Joe and John live in Seattle, Washington, so they had a long trip ahead of them. They decided to go in a direct route to the supposed location of this lost mine. They were excited because the note said that anyone who found the mine will be given a large reward.
