Joe and John together looked out into the horizon, ready for their journey. At a steady walking pace, they would be able to get to Arizona in about two or three weeks.
"Well, this is going to take a while," said John.
They continued along the pathway which was their journey, going as quickly as possible. Who knows if they were the only hunters of this lost mine, but if not, it would only be more people lost along their journey.
An ominous feeling crept over them as they kept moving along. They saw something move.
"What was that?" asked John.
They saw a lizard slithering away. Sighs of relief came immediately. They moved along quickly, trying to avoid anything else.
After a while, they came upon a clearing. Joe suggested they stay the night. They had packed a tent, so they set up and soon became very tired. They instantly fell asleep, but little did they know what was in store for them.
Morning came, and, after a quick breakfast of dry cereal, they set off again. After a whole morning of straight walking, they grew extremely tired. A shadow began to cast over them.
"Oh no!" they cried together.
