emmaline's pov

i had fifteen minutes until i had to meet corbyn at the park. i rolled out of bed with a large groan as i hit the hard floor. my motivation level today was very low.

i looked in the mirror when i got into the bathroom and sighed remembering how ugly i am. i decided i would just leave my hair down with its natural wave.

i didn't put on makeup just cause i wasn't feeling it, and i decided to put on ripped jeans and a hoodie. after looking at my hair for a while i decided i needed to cover it with a beanie.

after like ten minutes i was done with everything and made my way to the car to drive to the park. i told my butler carl where i was going and told him he could have the rest of the night off.

i lived in a huge house with my parents, and they hired a butler because they didn't want to take care of me. my parents were awful people but we'll get into that later on.

i pulled into the parking lot at the park and immediately spotted corbyn. he was sitting on his phone near a large patch of flowers.

"sup corbs."

"oh my gosh, you scared me em."

"sorry." i said while taking a seat next to him

"this is a beautiful spot, how'd you find out about it."

"the boys are annoying so sometimes i just leave, plus it was my happy place after christina dumped me."

"i'm sorry about that."

"it's okay, it's not your fault."

"i'm just ready to move on."

"could you take my pic in front of the flowers corbyn?"

"of course."

corbyn and i spent the entire day together and i learned he's a super down to earth dude. we had a lot of fun. we went to in n out and threw fries at each other while we were eating our burgers.

when i went home my mom and dads cars were in the driveway. immediately my face went white as i knew i was going to be in trouble.

i walked in and tried to let the door shut quietly behind me. but it was louder than expected and my parents heads perked up, they were sat in the kitchen with awful looks on their faces.

"emmaline aliza blake, where the hell were you?" my wench of a mother asked

"i was just at the park with a friend, it's not a big deal."

"you didn't tell us you were leaving like you're suppose to." my dad said while holding a hard grip on my arm

i tried to pull my arm away but he just tightened his grip more. i winced in pain, then my mom yanked me by my hair. she spun me around and slapped me across the face.

"you will never leave this house without telling us again." she said with gritted teeth

"next time we won't hesitate to do something worse." my dad said right before he kicked me in the shin

i wobbled up the stairs and locked my door behind me. my dog jewels was sprawled out on the bed but perked up when i walked in. the australian shepard hated my parents, i think cause she could sense they're bad people.

i put pajamas on and iced my leg and arm while i watched a snapchat video that corbyn sent me. i sent him one back and told him i was going to bed, but i had a good time with him.
