Eve groaned as she rolled over, head pounding. Weird, she didn't remember drinking last night. Groggily she reached for the Ibuprofen in her nightstand but her fingers found nothing. Her eyes crept open only to find her nightstand wasn't where it was supposed to be. As she continued to look around she came to a realization. Her floor was now white and she was becoming painfully aware of the suns blinding light coming through a window she had never seen before. This was not her room.
"Oh shit," she thought to herself. "if I'm not in my room then that means..." Eve slowly turned her head to the left, the other side of the bed, praying that whoever was lying there was 1. someone she didn't know and 2. still sleeping. But to her surprise, her gaze was met with empty sheets. Black and remarkably clean for a guys bed, the covers were had been neatly laid over her as if she'd been tucked in by a well-meaning friend. She was confused; the bed wasn't a mess, she wasn't missing any clothing, there was no stray condom wrapper to guilt her if this wasn't a one night stand then what was it?
Suddenly feeling a lot more awake and alert she sat completely up and observed her surroundings. To her right was a plain white door with a silver knob and on that side of the bed, a small black nightstand with something small carved into the handle. On top of the nightstand, sat a radio alarm clock reading 10:57 am. Shit if she was already late for work she may as well not go, she'd call Krissy later and make up some excuse, after yelling at her friend for letting her get in this situation of course. Directly in front of her was another white door this one with a golden knob. For some reason this one called to her begging to be opened. To the left of this door was a bookshelf filled with a plethora of colorful novels that didn't really catch her interest. What surprised her the most was the bay window. It covered a good part of the small left-hand wall with a red bench and a few pillows, it looked amazingly comfortable.
Eve rose from the bed, still surprised that she was wearing her clothes from the night before. A nice soft grey sweater that hugged her chest and left the rest loose. and a pair of black leggings. It was a simple outfit but it looked great on the small girl. She was slightly offended that whoever brought her home never even bothered to get underneath of it. Ugh, alright, the clock now read 11:03. Eve figured that it was probably best she left before the owner of the home returned. The one piece of clothing missing, her shoes, were nowhere to be found. She shook her head, they were only sneakers she could get new ones at Walmart. Now to get out of here...
She walked up to the door with the gold knob in front of the bed and entered a simple living room that looked as though it doubled as a kitchen. It contained a television set with one lone couch in front of it. Off to the side was a small fridge, a microwave, and a few cabinets. Damn this guy must be lonely, how desperate was I last night? Eve wondered feeling a pang of guilt for walking out on him. Not enough to stay and face her shame though. Quickly she made her way to the front door to get the hell out of there only to be met by.... nothing.
A sheet of wood resembling a door but missing a knob met her desperate hands. Her heart sped up... and her thoughts went a million miles an hour. She ran to the living room window only to find it stuck shut. She could feel her blood pounding in her ears accompanied by a slight ringing. The bay window was also locked and appeared unbreakable. She was dizzy now and feeling faint but she had to try one last thing. If this didn't work, she reasoned with herself, she could always wait for this sad guy to come back and beat his ass for trapping her. She quickly opened the unexplored door, the one with the silver knob. It opened to a bathroom. Before she had a minute to look around something caught her eye. There was a note on the mirror in a pretty black cursive.
