Changes...

Hi I'm Katie, I live with my family.... It's fun and cool, but they are never around. I'm usually in my room on my phone, or watching tv. My parents are always coming in arguing.. They still love each other regardless. They are those cool parents, they are always a joy be around. But one day this happened and changed everything

"James.. Where the hell were you?" I hear my mom's voice from downstairs. It was 1am and my brother was with is friends. I was in my room just reading as normal.

"Doing what Martha?" My dad said.

"Coming home, drunk..." she replied.

I was curious what was going on, usually my mom doesn't want me to witness or hear any of it.

She was crying.

"YOU COME HOME EVERY NIGHT WITH THAT GIRLS PERFUME ON... OR SOMEONE ELSES" she continued.

"No I don't" my dad added.

"Don't lie to me..you do it every weekend! And it's making me sick"

and with that.. my dad slapped my mom and kicked her. Packed his bags and left. I was only 12 then.

I ran back up to my room, and slammed my door... my mom probably heard the door, but  trying not to cry, I was only 12 so bear with me.
I didn't know what was going on, besides the hitting.

It's something you should never do especially too the ones you loved.

"Katie?" My mom said opening up the door and talking with a soft voice.
I was crying, my mom came to me and hugged me and held me until I stoped.
She looked at me, then told me that dad and her won't be longer together. It hurt, it really did...
It hurt me so much that I've never fell in love.

The more you let someone in, the more they hurt you.

Every since then, mom left her job. She goes with her friends shopping or stays home, I go to work to support my family sometimes... I wish I had help, my brother is always with his friends or going to parties..

I have to go to work now.. And this is who I am.
