Lying in bed
Staring at the moon
It's staring back
I think it likes me too.
Lying in bed
Can't get any sleep
Your memory haunts me
Every time i close my eyes.
I'm taken back to when you were here;
I'm remembering.
I put my walls up
But you destroyed them
All the insecurities and the voices in my head
You silenced them.
I'm remembering.
Sometimes we think we want to disappear
But actually, all we really want is to be found.
I thought i found my soulmate
I thought you had the key to my heart
I took the bait
And ended up having my heart shattered into a million pieces.
Just because you can't see my tears
Doesn't mean I'm not drowning in them
And just because you can hide who you really are behind your skin
Doesn't mean I am not going to discover your true self.
Monsters are best kept locked up behind bars;
That's the story of our hearts.
I'm remembering.
I once loved a human being
And ended up with the company of a ghost.
If you don't believe in ghosts then how do you explain your memory that still haunts me till this day?
Sadly, life fails to be a fairytale
If it was, it would be easy for everyone
Well, except for the villains,
Oh, wait! I forgot that you are one.
Life doesn't always have a happy ending,
We search for love and eternal happiness
Sometimes we lose ourselves in the searching process,
And sometimes, we can't find them because there's nothing but complete darkness.
But here I am
Enjoying the company of the moon
Rebuilding my walls that you once broke
And remembering.
At least the moon is loyal;
It might disappear for some time
But it always comes back.
When are you gonna be loyal?
When are you gonna come back?
