The sun from a dogs eyes

A bright light ray that shines down
Its ridiculously vibrant and lights up the town
I don't like it very much, it hurts my eye
And when its time for bed it puts on a disguise
No no i find it really annoying
Not to mention the heat that never stops growing
Its hot and rises, it sets and it disguises.
I don't understand this i think I'm misguided
Why does it hurt to look
Why does it hurt to stare
Why does it hurt to watch
Does it not want me there?
This thing has no color, like the sky surrounding it
Or maybe it does and I'm too blind to notice it
What is the goal, what is the plan?
Its shy, has no color yet rises again.
Yet it bring me joys and others as well
As it rises and sets with a story to tell..
