Yoongi

It's been two weeks since my father's death. It shouldn't be this big of a deal, he was awful anyway. He probably didn't even know I existed when he was sober, let alone how much I was forgotten in his drunken mind. I still went to the funeral, and I still cried. I probably shouldn't have done anything. I admit, going on with my day as a waiter is more interesting than having to call into work because I'm to depressed about the moron's death. I haven't gotten sun in almost two weeks now.

That's why now I'm walking down the street, mask up, hood up, no skin showing. I'm just glad it's October, not summer. My phone buzzes in my pocket, knocking me out of my dead-like trance.

"Hello?"

"Yoongi?" Taehyung's deep voice asks concernedly.

I sigh, "Hey Tae. Sorry I haven't talked in a whi-."

"Your mother told me."

"I-."

"I'm sorry Yoongi. I know he kinda sucked, but he was still your father."

I growl under my breath, clenching the phone. I walk into an alley, getting some alone time.

"Are you okay?"

"No, I'm not. Why did my mother call you to inform me about my father's death? Why does she care anyway?"

He huffs out silently, "Yoongi, come by my house. You need to calm down."

I softly smile, calming myself slightly, "I'll be there in a minute."

"See you soon."

The phone beeps and I walk down the street, towards my best friend's house. Well, best friend is an understatement. I don't want to be his best friend. I wanna be more, he's been my crush for about a year. It's definitely not my favorite thing to be in the same room as him and have to fight the urge of kissing his plump lips.

Before I realise, I'm standing in front of his door. I knock, bouncing in the balls of my feet. He answers the door with his signature box smile.

"Hi Yoongi!" he hugs me tightly, burying his face into my neck.

I blush furiously, "Hi Tae."

"Your face is all red, let's get you inside with a cup of coffee or something."

I smile and follow the boy through the house, watching as his dog, Yeontan, follows him to the kitchen. I pick up the dog, "Hey Yeon."

The dog licks my cheek in response, instantly making me 10 times happier.

Taehyung grins and pokes my cheeks, "Is that the first time you smiled since then?"

I nod, "Well, sorta."

"What do you mean sorta?" he questions.

"I smirked when I was on the phone with you. But it's not a smile."

He chuckles, "Okay Yoon. Whatever you say."

We sit down at the couch, watching the drama that's already on. I finish my coffee quickly, setting it on the table nearby. I sigh and lean my head on Tae's shoulder.

I know what you're thinking, red alert. Right? Wrong. We've been friends for years, we literally had to shower together before. It's normal for us to cuddle. That's probably why I have a crush on him, we do act like a couple.

Taehyung ruffles my hair and gives me a peck on my forehead, "You seem stressed."

"I am."

He nods.

"No, I don't wanna talk about it."

"You have every right not to."

I smile for the nth time in the hour, "Thanks Tae."

"Of course. I would do anything to see the Lil Meow Meow happy."

I poke his cheek, watching his eyes sparkle. His pupils dilate as he pokes back at me, "Yoongi, I have to tell you something."

"O-okay."

My mind quickly goes to everything bad. He hates you. He found out. He only wanted a toy, he's done using you. The list goes on.

"Yoongi, I think-."

The doorbell rings and before he can answer it, all of our friends rush in and bury me in hugs. I can almost feel my lungs caving in. I push my friends off of me and jump back into Tae's embrace.

"Yoongi, we heard what happened." Jin says worryingly. He smiles, "Are you okay?"

I nod and cuddle into Taehyung's side, "Yes, I just would like some time to settle down. If you guys could give me a head's up next time..."

Jungkook giggles, "Sorry Hyung. We were just worried."

I look up at Taehyung uncertainty.

He smiles and ruffles my hair, "You're okay."

I divert my eyes to my friends, "Guys, can you go? I was busy with Taehyungie."

Everyone looks at each other and smiles. Jin pushes everyone out of the house, "Have fun love birds~!"

I blush a deep red, adjusting my position in Taehyung's arms. His chest vibrates as he lets out a chuckle.

"You can finish what you were gonna say earlier if you want." I whisper.

Tae shakes his head, "No, I'll say it another time."

My mouth opens to say something, but instead, I nod.

Did he feel bad for saying something negative right now? Does he want to use me a little bit more? What if he knows, and just wants to get my hopes up?

"Yoongi, I don't want to do any of those things."

I look at him, eyes widened, "D-did I say it out loud?"

He giggles, "Yeah."

"Sorry." I lean my head into his shoulder, blocking out my obviously paranoid state.

He rubs my back soothingly, whispering soft words into my ear.

I don't know what it is, but his voice is the most soothing thing ever. I've never heard something so calming enough to lure me to sleep.

"Tae...goodnight."

"Hyung it's noon."

I glare at him, "Taehyungie. I wanna sleep."

He ruffles my hair, "Go ahead sleepy head."

I listen to his voice, that's now singing. I can't hear any of the words, just the sound of his voice. I fall asleep, tiredly humming to his deep voice.

"Goodnight Hyung."
