I went downstairs sleepily. Jon was eating frosted flakes at the bar tigger lay on the bar sleeping. Very clever tigger. Morning maria how was your sleep you have circles under your eyes sweety, jon said concerned. Im good dad just a bad dream, I lied. Hmm okay are you glad its the weekend, jon said. I love jon even though he knows I don't have friends he's always trying to keep the positive in things. Yeah no work or homework yippee, I chuckled pouring me a bowl of krave. Maybe you could go into town there is a new guy in town he's homeschooled to, jon said. Wait he lives here, I said. So you've met him, jon said raising his eyebrows. Does he have black hair, blue eyes, pretty tall. Jon chuckled, never heard you so anxious about about a boy all I ever hear is complaining about how the guys flirt with you. And yes that's him his name is Jeremiah duns, jon said. Well Im not anxious dad it's just he came to the gas station for gas and the pump didn't work so I had to give him thirty dollars and he left it, I said. The truth was jon was right. Jeremiah was the first guy not to flirt with her on the spot. And really he was the hottest guy in town. He was also...mysterious. Oh...well in that case here's his address, jon said writing on a piece of paper. He handed it to her, also get some gas and a few groceries for dinner okay Im gonna mow the lawn. Kay bye dad love you, I said grabbing the keys. Love you too Maria.

I drove into town searching for 116 east 6th street. Finally I found it. It was a little light blue one story house. It had a fenced in yard. A tree with falling green leaves stood in the yard. I walked through the gate. As soon as I got to the door and was about to knock the door swung open. A little girl with angel braided dirty blonde hair and pale skin answers the door. She has blue pretty eyes and wears a blue skirt and pink shirt that says "Cupcakes Forever". I drop my hand from the door. Sorry um...is there a Jeremiah duns here Im suppose to give him back something, I stutter. I've never really talked to anyone besides jon my whole life so im definitely socially awkward. The little girl runs from the door. Lilly really that wasn't very nice, Jeremiah says entering the doorway smiling. There he was. The handsome man from the gas station Jeremiah. Last night he seemed so stiff and uncomfortable and today he was happy...weird. Hey I just wanted to give this to you you left it at the gas station, I said handing him the thirty dollars. His fingers traced over mine. I nearly gasp. They were cold. Ice cold. Thank you I totally got sidetracked last night it was a long drive here I got gas from my neighbor he's pretty sweet, Jeremiah said. His voice was mesmerizing. Yeah understandable cute sister you got there, I said. He nodded, yeah she's shy just like I can be at times. He wore a AC DC t-shirt and black ripped jeans. It was dark and grey outside. It looked like it was ready to storm. I should go and get some groceries for tonight before it storms nice to meet you Jeremiah, I said walking back to the car. Wait why don't you and your dad come here for dinner tonight, Jeremiah said enthusiastically. Really well i'll ask him, I said smiling. Then I froze. How did you know I only had a dad. He smirked, your clerk told me a lot about you including that you were homeschooled like me. I roll my eyes chuckling, well I guess you were gonna find out anyways well bye. He waved, bye Maria. She shook her head entering her car, now your just being creepy. He laughed closing his door. Hmm he's a charmer too...I could get used of this.

I was driving back home in a good mood blasting the song " Radio Active" by imagine dragons. I blink. That's when a giant grey animal appeared in front of my car. I shriek and push on the brake. The car comes to a screeching halt. There inches away stood a grey wolf. A giant wolf almost the size of my car. It had bright green eyes. It was beautiful yet terrifying. It looked at me as if...examining me. Then it dawned on me. No one in Oklahoma saw a wolf in day time. And then in that moment the wolf ran into the woods howling. Howling came from all directions of me. I pushed on the gas slowly increasing speed. I grab my phone and cannot believe who I call. Jeremiah. I never trust people like I do jon yet here I am calling Jeremiah and I don't try to hang up. For some reason I feel it would be better not to inform my dad but to tell him instead. Something inside me told me that. Hello, Jeremiah says. Hi uh it's me Maria I was just driving and all the damn sudden a wolf was in the middle of the road. Silence. Finally he answers. How big was it, he asked. As big as my freaking car and it just stared at me for a couple minutes then ran into the woods howling and then like twenty others all around me started howling. Maria come back to my house don't care about how many wolves you have to hit to get to my house just do it now, Jeremiah said sternly. But what about my dad what the hell is going on, I ask shakily turning the car around. Your dad will be fine just stay calm, Jeremiah said with such calmness it actually helped me calm down. How does he freaking do that. I stay on the line with him. I scream seeing three wolves in the road. One snarles snapping it's teeth at me. I keep driving as they all jump out of the way. One of them jumps on top of the roof of my car indenting it. Maria are you alright, Jeremiah said concerned. A wolf jumped on top of-CRASH. AHHHHH, I screamed. Claws ripped through the top of my jeep. Tears flow down my eyes. More tearing goes through the roof. GET OFF MY DAMN CARRRR, I scream terrified screeching to a halt. The wolf flies off. Then my heart races harder. Around twelve wolves surround me. I try pushing the gas when a wolf paw crashes through my window. It's paw about the size of my head. Its claws the size of knifes razor sharp. I find pepper spray as soon as its face comes through my window. Its teeth the size of baseballs snapped at me. I pepper sprayed it when it fell it's claws scrap my face. Pain crosses my cheek instantly. That's when I heard a car and the wolves cries in pain. I look up blood blurring my left eye's vision. I say Jeremiah get out of his car. He pulled the wolf from beside my car and smashed it into the tree. It's bones snapped. Dizziness flooded over me. And I fainted.
