I cautiously open the slither of sealed parchment from Jasper. The Professor inscribed " she has been sited in the Varden... Leave this instant, ride home on Jasper and leave that please, drop what you are doing and go"...

I look at Jasper with worry, his little face snarling at me, though this time I don't believe it is with anger but care, aggressive care... Bloody bird can't ever smile, but the Professor is right.

Jasper kneels down to allow me onto his back, we blast of into the air, Jasper's wings feathered with the most beautiful blue shimmer with a tinge of orange, the furthest feathers on the tail and wings are pearl white, so strong and yet elegant, he performs every span of his wings with such strength and pride soaring through the air as fast as possible.

Jasper looks at the ground in fright, he and I both frightened to the extent of my shivering, even with my coat on, though this is not a cold shiver, but a shiver of intense emotion, not just for my life, but for Jasper's as well.

We speed past trees like high winds in a storm, leaves and petals creating rings of fury around Jasper's tail as he expands he length to create a gast of wind towards the ground, his wings repeatedly flap so that we can land on the top of ancient Willow that overhangs the Laboratory, slowly gliding to the soft dirt in front of the big red dusty door, hinged and bolted with heavy steel to stop any unwanted... guests...

I quickly jump of Jasper and give him a hug for helping my when I was in need. He bows and gusts away leaving nothing but dust covering me whilst I bow to him as he leaves. The Professor opening the door just as I finish brushing Jasper's beautifully placed dust in which I am covered in. The Professor waits as I run up and ensure to him that I am alright.

His old deep and crackling voice he says " are you sure my child"... with such care and grace. I look up and smile and explained what had happened, where I went, what I saw all the way down the traveling bard with the book filled with songs and the beam of light that hit me when peering into the forest from the edge where I stood.

He sends a raven to each other laboratory in our land, all three to be exact, for we protect the people of Varden and all its inhabitants. We look over the rich, the poor, the sickly and the healthy. We also provide support for those who are in need, whether they are bandits being chased by an Ogre, to helpless farmers when wolves tear up their cattle and sheep.

We go inside, and the Professor tells me to "shut, everything down".. I knew at that moment that he was afraid for me, because..... She...... has been sited. I close everything, the windows, both upstairs and down whilst Jasper climbs into his chamber high above in the Willow Tree. The Professor calls me down stairs, and somehow I trip coming out of my room, I had forgotten that I left my coat near my door as I rushed down to help the Professor.

He waits patiently as I quickly shuffle down the dusty steps holding onto the worn wood that rail the staircase, and he said " It is about time I show you a few protective enchantments". So deep and almost calming voice as I listen and getting a little excited, "repeat after me Ono-totem-porvolo", I say those words "Ono-totem-porvolo" as we raise our hands and place them one the front door, since I am a lot shorter than the Professor and my hands are alot smaller, the dust on the door creates two sets of handprints as we lift our hands up from the door.

Watching the magic be absorbed by the big red door, and I look around and see all the sparkles move into the windows, the doors and the planks that the lab is made of, the Professor explain that, that the spell we just performed is a protective enchanment normally used on homes and or closed rooms, that stops whoever you deem not worthy of entering said space.... in this case.... it is "she".. that we don't want to appear, "just taking the extra percaution"....

We sit on the matt in the middle of the room, patiently waiting, until the our ravens get back. The Professor closes his eyes and mumbles under his breath, whilst I stare out the window, out into the Varden Forest's tree line, hoping.. just hoping... "she" does not appear.

Slowly, closing my eyes, with my hands clenched in a fist, and my toes wrinkled up in a cluster under my dirty covered feet on the hard wood floor. My thoughts race, from memory to memory bringing me pain and I feel the touch of the Professor's hand on my shoulder, "it is alright to be sad my son, those we lose always have a way of remaining with us"....

I know, he knows of what I think of... The family I once had, so swiftly taken from me, in the blink of an eye... I can still see her face, as she moved the floor board over taking all the light out from where I was hid, peeking through a small crack in the floor of my home, watching as "she" stole what was mine, taking them away.........

I can still remember the cries of the twins, as they faught back.. Whilst my mother casting spell after spell, slowly walking backwards towards the door to lure "her" away from me....I blink, and in that second she was lifted into the sky, out of reach..... so faraway.....

Never shall that be forgotten whilst I still live and breath... "she" will pay for what she did...

As I repeat to myself "Dont worry Jack, we will remember while "she" is forgotten".
