The morning was bright. Birds chirped, the sun was high in the sky and Sadie snored beside me. See? Perfect.
My body was positioned awkwardly on my bed, with my legs tangled with Sadie's. I groaned and lifted myself up. Whilst in a dreary state, I checked the time on my clock. The red numbers 11:54 hit my eyes. Another groan escaped me when I realized I had been asleep for eight hours, which was not enough time. The party ended at two but I had to help Sophie clear her house out; then I had to carry Sadie back to my apartment with me. All in all, I needed more sleep. My head was banging and I felt the urge to throw up.
Sadie stirred next to me and mumbled something in her sleep. I rolled my eyes and climbed out of bed. My feet touched the soft carpet causing me to curl my toes. I stumbled to my tiny bathroom and went straight for the toilet.
Three minutes later and a whole lot of puking, I was done. Feeling disgusted by the puke--some of it had ended on my shirt--I took a nice hot shower. I knew it would wake me up more but I didn't care. My poor blonde hair had suffered the wrath of my puke.
When I was done, I got out and wrapped the towel around my body. A light knock on the door interrupted all of my thoughts. Swinging the door open, I came face to face with Sadie's disheveled state. Her purple hair was sticking out everywhere and a bit of drool was running down the side of her mouth.
"Toilet," she murmured, walking past me. I knew Sadie would use my shower after so I got changed and hopped back into bed, leaving my hair wet and tangled. I fluttered my eyes shut and let my imagination go wild.

"I need coffee," Sadie said, quietly. Her eyes were half shut, sometimes they would completely close for a minute before she snapped them open again. After her shower, Sadie decided to wake me up again. Angrily, I refused because I was so tired. So Sadie decided to literally crawl on top of me and wake me up. It ended up with us fighting each other, poorly, until we rolled off the bed.
"I need sleep," I say, turning around to head back to my apartment. Before I could take a step, Sadie had grabbed my arm and dragged me back to the kitchen I shared with four other people. Most were still sleeping meaning we got it to ourselves. "Please, I want to sleep."
Sadie shakes her head and turns the kettle on. "Nope, your not leaving me."
Ugh, this girl!
"Why are you doing this to me?" I whine, leaning all of my body against the kitchen table. "You know how important sleep is to me."
"But I'm important to you," Sadie argues.
"No right now you aren't," I mutter to myself, hoping she couldn't hear me over the boiling kettle. Fortunately for me, she couldn't.
Sadie rolls her eyes and starts wandering around the kitchen, collecting cups and spoons. When the kettle has boiled, I pour the hot water into the cups and make the coffee.
"What are your plans today then?" Sadie asks me and immediately, a picture of Kai forms in my head. Technically, I'm supposed to see him tonight but he didn't give me any details about the outing or his phone number so the chances of us going out together are slim. Not that I'm complaining.
I shrug my shoulders and sit down at the table, putting my mug of tea on the table next to Sadie's. "Dunno yet."
Sadie rolls her eyes and mutters something under her breath. Luckily for her, I don't catch it because I suspect whatever she said was insulting to me. That girl thinks I'm clueless when it comes to her but I am, in fact, the opposite of clueless.
