//Monday Blues//
The soft hum of the AC was the only audible sound to be heard as the orange haired girl stepped into the tidy library. The all girl primary school was built over 40 decades ago and of course there's been renovations, but the library remained untouched. With this being done so, it became the schools most prized section. It even remains with the old rules, the ones carved into the walls all those years ago.
No talking
Leave the learning area spick and span
No lost books
Silly as it seemed, it was strict and those daring enough to break the rules were promptly expelled. The brittle librarian with thick bifocals and a motherly scold; kept the library in perfect condition and made sure to watch every student that passed through. It was if she had eyes on the back of her head, no one dared to go against her, for she had been around longer than the library. The seemingly malevolent librarian melted into a wrinkled smile as her favorite student came through the large oak door. She smiled as the girl greeted her with a slight bow. They seemed to have a civil conversation with their eyes as the student sat in her seat. Not that any seat was assigned, but she was a creature of habit and ever since freshman year the now junior came to the library after school to study and read. The self-proclaimed bookworm kept to herself, quietly and diligently working. Thus becoming the librarians favorite student, she never dismissed the old librarian with the all too common eye roll. Instead when she pointed politely to the stack of books the student moved it for the librarian, who's back was too weak for such a heavy stack of books.
The raven haired beauty, with an underlying of purple shimmer to her hair, smoothed the bottom of her skirt and promptly sat on the oak table. Doodles and cravings covered the glossy wood from bored students of past years, she laid out her things and began to delve into her favorite novel. One the other side, the tall, orange haired thai was searching for a book.
The rules of the library were strict, so that caused it to be deserted. Unless a student absolutely NEEDED a book, and that is why Lisa is there. Her AP photography class requires one specific book that could only be found here. Her long fingers ran across the tops of the books as her face scrunched up into anger. She glanced over the promptly titled 'P' category once more huffing out in annoyance.
SHHHHHHHH
The librarian had sharply let out causing the two girls to jump at the sudden noise. A book fell from its place and Lisa managed to catch it before it could land hard on the carpeted floor,
"I swear I'm in a booby trap."
Lisa mumbled underneath her breath as she skimmed the book in her hand. She slapped her mouth with her hand as she gasped,
This is the book I needed! Akdosbqidn how lucky am I?!
She let out a bright and confident smile, practically skipping to the check out list. As if it was a movie, the sun shined a bit through the small window upon the others hair. Thus illuminating her sculptured features, Lisa's mouth fell a gap at the sight. The shoulder length silky black hair danced so elegantly around her shoulders. As she pushed the cascading hair aside, it revealed her full side profile. Her cupid bow lips were magnetic to Lisa's own plump and full ones. The girl bites her plump bottom lip at the sight, her heart becoming an audible, Thump, thump, thumpShe gripped the large book, her knuckles turning white as she stood there frozen. Lisa watched the girls eyes, her eyelashes fluttering almost as much as Lisa's heart. The other girl was too enveloped in her story to notice the gawking. What seemed a mere glance to Lisa was in fact a full minute. She thought her heartbeat was surely audible as it was all Lisa could hear, her face bright red as she finally regained herself. She ran off into the shelves and pulled out a children's book, not that she was paying attention.
Quickly she scribbled in the check out file and promptly sat aside to the girl she had become so infatuated with. Yet, she was still in her own world, her eyes told Lisa so. The way her brown orbs seemed to devore the book in front of her with such enthusiasm. Lisa pouted with her hand propping up her head as she lazy 'read' her book. The only exception to the rule rang through the library,
Good Afternoon,
Today's daily announcement is for those who have forgotten to turn in their sport uniform, please do such by Friday. Enjoy the last week of school seniors. The proper voice was cut off and the library was quite. Lisa's face was turned to the speaker as she heard the chair squeak besides her. She watched the girl bow to the librarian and leave quietly. Lisa just sat there, causing her facial expression to turn from blank to alarmed as she ran from the library,
"HEY!!!"
Lisa screamed while flailing her unoccupied hand forward. The slim raven figure stopped as she saw the flustered girl running towards her. The said girl with a red face caught her breath and extended a friendly hand,
"Hi! I'm Lisa!"
The latter accepted her hand and replied with a heavenly smooth voice,
"Hi, I'm Jisoo.""Jisoo? That's such a pretty name."
Lisa smiled to herself while repeating Jisoo's name under her breath softly,
"I thought I knew everyone in the school but I haven't ran into you Unnie."
Jisoo rubbed her neck and loosened the tight collar of her uniform, unintentionally making the other girl blush even more,
"I usually am in the library."
Lisa nodded,
"Well I'm going to be walking home, could I walk you to your house too?
Jisoo smiled and nodded, allowing the tall girl to hug her as they walked out the front of the school together.
