a man with vibrant black and red hair and two small lip piercings was busily rummaging around his house excitedly something was up, and everyone who lived anywhere remotely near the youtuber's house knew what was 'up'. frank was meeting the members of twenty one pilots after much anticipation. he had gotten the very best tickets, allowing him to hang out with the two men for the day. his wallet would surely pay after this.
frank gingerly combed his slightly dyed hair, slicking it up with a rather expensive brand of gel. it was worth it. he had to look his best for meeting his idols.
eva was sick, so unfortunately she couldn't join frank on a possibly once in a life time chance. he had decided to sell the other ticket, instead of bringing one of his other friends.
he pulled down the sleeves of his rather iconic 'yeemo' sweatshirt, inhaling sharply. it would be a two hour drive, in which frank was not looking forward to, but he assured to himself it would pass by in no time.
he said his farewells to eva, who looked half-asleep. he made sure to lock the door to his home as he left, and sure enough he was driving on the highway, blaring jumpsuit so loud he was certain all the cars that surrounded his could hear it. his hand tapped against the steering wheel impatiently. it was going to be a long drive. not what he expected.
he had heard about three quarters of all the twenty one pilots songs by the time he got to his destination. traffic had set him back a bit, but it was fine. he was so excited over just being able to hang out with tyler and josh that he had forgetten it was a concert. frank felt a wave of sudden excitement wash over him.
he was stopped by many fans, all eager to get a photo with the popular youtuber. the concert was over way too quickly for frank's liking. the setlist had included ode to sleep, which made him rather happy. he had bopped way too hard during the whole concert. but now, it was time for him to meet the duo themselves, and hang out with them. as he walked out of the large stadium, ears still ringing from the adrenaline of tyler's raspy yet amazing singing, and josh's powerful and skilled drumming. it left him in awe and anxious, a wave of fear overcoming frank as he pondered on the thought of who this security guard was bringing him to.
the large man brought frank backstage, and to a door labeled, 'twenty one pilots'. the man made his right hand into a large fist, before bringing it against the door, causing a loud knock. no one answered the door at first, until a familiar cheery face appeared as they swung open the door. it was josh. "hey!" he chirped gleefully, eyes trailing from the at least 6'4 bodyguard to frank.
"did you buy one of the special tickets?" frank could barely process any words. "y-yeah." he stuttered out, going into 'autopilot'. he couldn't really believe who he was talking to. josh just gave him a warm hearted smile, before turning back to the security guy. "you can go, i know him. he won't try and murder me." josh calmly told the large man, who simply replied with a nod before taking a 180 spin and walking off. frank was in shock. josh knew him. josh knew HIM. josh KNEW HIM. frank felt as if his brain short-circuited. "...you... know me?" josh just let out a small, rather adorable, chuckle, as if everyone and their grandmas knew about frank. "me and tyler have watched some of your videos before."
tyler soon appeared behind josh. speak of the devil. tyler eyed frank curiously, as if he had an uncle who looked just like him. "why don't you let him come in, josh?" he sneered jokingly, the sass radiating off the slim singer. josh just smiled more, eyes squinted as he grinned. he moved out of the way to let frank walk in. frank forced himself to function, stumbling in. his face was quite pale as he was probably brain dead from shock and realization he was hanging out with the celebrities.
"wow. i-i'm a huge fan and i love you guys so much." frank managed to blurt out, only to get a smile from tyler. "so, what are we gonna do?" tyler semi-asked frank, though it was more directed towards josh. the drummers eyebrows furrowed as he thought deeply. "what if," josh paused, taking a glance towards the emo man who stood awkwardly in their dressing room. "what if we go shopping somewhere? i hate being stuck constantly in either a dressing room, tour bus, or stadium."
frank slowly started to calm himself down. he would have to or he would be unable to enjoy hanging out with the boys. josh turned to look at frank, before patting his shoulder. "let's go.... frank, right?" frank froze, mentally dying. josh looked at him, awaiting his answer awkwardly. frank came back down to earth, realizing he had been asked a question. he nodded quickly, sheepishly looking down at his feet.
when he looked back up, josh had put on a baseball cap and glasses, and tyler had put on a hat and a hoodie, his hood up; to try and hide away from fans. makes sense. frank hesitated at first. he wanted to keep all the prying fans off them but didn't really want to mess up his hair. he finally gave in, flipping up his hood, cautious not to completely flatten his hair.
------------
the trio of guys had gotten a taxicab to a large mall. they decided to go to less popular stores to try and avoid being mobbed. obviously that didn't work. they were in hot topic despite knowing they WOULD get noticed. frank was looking at the twenty one pilots shirts, ironic, yes, when a high pitched screech echoed through the store. it sounded like a pterodactyl ready to murder someone. frank could barely turn around to react as he watched tyler and josh practically get mauled before he, too, was swarmed.
frank looked at tyler and josh, who clearly did not want the attention. frank said hi quietly to a few fans before pushing his way to the duo. its not like he wanted to push some of the teenage girls, but he had to. he would never get out. he grabbed josh's and tyler's arms, signalling for them to get out of the store. they nodded, pushing through the swarm of fan girls and out of the store, some of the crowd still following.
they quickly got out of the mall, before letting out a sigh of relief. "sorry guys. i shouldn't have brought us to hot topic." frank muttered, ashamed he had got themselves into that mess. "not your fault." tyler said, and josh nodded in agreement. "why don't we go back and relax for a while?" josh offered, in which tyler and frank both agreed with no hesitation.
