Sam's Pov: When we take off for our little trip,i feel anxious being with carl in such a small space,i sigh and wanda comes and sits on my lap,looking up at me with her big brown eyes,i smile down at her cause she seems to always feel when im upset in anyway and will comfort me,i know its wierd that a dog is like that,but my dog is special and we have a serious bond, i stroke wanda's head and sigh happily then carl whispers beside me "if you dont mind my asking,why are you so drawn to her?" he asks guestering to wanda,i sigh and decide to tell him,i was gonna get it out now "when i was younger,ive always wanted a dog,i begged and begged my dad and one day he said he'll try to look for one,about a month later he brought her home, we all knew she was special,i was the first to form a bond with her,i realized how much she meaned to me and i never let her get hurt,when i got upset in anyway,she would comfort me,by sitting her head on my lap and snuggling close to me, one day,she had her leg sprained and i cried,i never admitted it to anyone,but i did,i always would promise her she wouldnt get hurt or be away from me,i betrayed her two times,and when u hurt her,that day came back to me,and i couldnt take it,so i shut down all my feelings and went after you,but we never knew how she sprained it the first time, and one day she was taken to the pound for two weeks 'cause she 'bit' some kid,which was total bullshit cause shes the sweetest dog ever, and those two weeks,i was like an emotionless zombie (walker haha) it was around spring break so it was fine,didnt see people much,i had shut people out,i would just break in front of them,like i did everyday she was gone,even the day she came back i cried,out of joy" i say and smile and the sweet memories but frown at the times i let wanda down i look over at carl and he has a simpathetic look,i send him a small smile,then i realize i never told harry about the other time her leg got hurt,or the pound i shake it off because its not like id fall for carl right?

Carl's Pov: An hour and a half after driving we end up at this little cabin, seems cleaned up,boarded up so walkers dont get in,when we get in, they is furniture,nice furniture i panic and grab my gun then lupe speaks up "whoa-chill,me and ventuda put this all here,we hoped sam would find us,so we found this place,and cleaned it up,and put furniature and decided to not use it till she showed up" they all smile at eachother,i wish my dad would do something like this for me his the leader carl,he cant take a vacation i say to myself and sigh,i decide to check around,sam's brothers take upstairs and us downstairs,we see its clear,inside so me and sam check outside,we step out and we see a pool,sam sees and gasp,the pool isn't like you expect,empty or a walker in it,or mabey even broken down,but no,its clean and the water is clear blue,and shinning off the barrier around the house,i smirk and turn to sam,who is starting at the water in amazment,i grab her and pick her up,she sqeals and wiggles, but im to strong for her,i pretend to try to throw her in the pool,dipping her,she screams,not loud enough for walkers to hear "carl pull me up, and put me down" i roll my eyes and pull her up,she looks me in the eye and leans in what about harry? ha who cares i lean and she catches me offguard and pulls past me,and my body goes flying into the pool "thats how its done,grimes" she says and laughs,i roll my eyes and go to the tip of the pool and reach my hand up "atleast help me up?" she takes my hand with caution,when im fully up on the side of the pool,i pull her into a hug and smirk,her eyes go wide and i throw our bodies into the pool "carl!" sam yells right before we hit the water,when we get up for air i smile "yes?" she rolls her eyes and gets out the pool,i get out too and soon we dry off this is gonna be a good week

Sam's Pov: After me and carl dry off we decide to make a run because my brothers forgot to add any food before we came,i shake my head at my bone head brothers and we get ready,when we're all ready we get in the car,we drive for a good 15 minutes and see a mall,our eyes go wide and we make our way to it,we prepare for whatever we might run into,we stay on the first floor and get a ball full of water bottles,some canned fruit (score! haha) and some other goodies,we go on the second floor and find some more water,a few walkers come in and we kill them,we go back to searching we find clothes for each of us that we like,even some shoes (mostly combat boots,boots and cowboys boots) and some other foods "alright,this should last us a week here and also the trip back" jr says and we all nod our heads and go down to the first floor,we dont see any walkers,so we go out the doors and go back into the car,on the way i look out the window and see dying walkers on the road and sigh in sadness "i just feel so bad for them...they all had a life before this" i say and everyone has frowns on their faces,we reach the cabin and the dogs run into it (they were trained for surviving and understanding) and we see a figure walk out behind the side barrier,we all aim our guns,waiting for the figure to get out the shadow,when it shows its self,i open my mouth in shock and drop my gun in total surprise i get close to the figure to make sure and i was right,i finally speak to him,a friend before all this, a really good one too "...clayton?"
