Moonlit Serenade

Emiline waited on the cliff that night wanting to get Mirala's suspicions eased when she saw something glowing. It looked like a boy, Emiline laughed at herself and knew who it was. She had seen him looking over the ocean many times before. It was the Prince of the Moon, his name was Karo Prince Karo was handsome. He had pale skin silver hair and blue eyes. His outfit changed when he was down near the oasis. Tonight he was wearing a silk white top, white pants his feet bare.

Mirala was also watching from the stream she looked to her friend who jumped down off the cliff "well is it a ghost?" Mirala asked "no its Karo, the prince of the moon" Emiline told her. she looked in the stream and noticed Mirala was gone Emiline quickly jumped up on the cliff again to see that her friend had approached Karo, she was close to hear what they were saying "Hello" Mirala greeted, that scared him and he fell into the water. The young mermaid quickly dived down and pulled him back up to the surface "so sorry for startling you" Mirala apologized, Karo just looked at her "um its OK, i shouldn't of been so distracted" Karo told her his voice elegant. 

Karo had to take a double look and saw Mirala was quite beautiful for being a ocean dweller her eyes were as blue as ice but they seemed enchanted for in them he could see a small dolphin swim around in the blue "My name is Karo" "nice to meet you Karo, My name is Mirala wait are you one of the sky people?" Karo scratched his head "yes i am why you asking that?" Mirala let out a sharp scream and swam below the ocean waves heeding her father's advice. 

Emiline watched the whole thing and Karo's eyes seemed sad like he lost his chance for a friend using the moon's rays, Karo went back to the kingdom he ruled on the moon really upset. Emiline called for Mirala who came up on the surface from the waters "why did you swim away?" she asked her mermaid friend "father told us the dangerous of being in the company of the sky people, he told my sisters and i that they would rather hunt us down and drive us to extinction" Mirala told her eyes looking down "thats not what i saw after you left" Emiline told her

Mirala looked surprised "what do you mean by that?" Emiline sat down beside the stream "he was sad when you swam away, it hurt him i could tell. Something on the moon isnt fulfilling for him so he comes down from the moon to try and find what will.Personally i think he is looking for a friend"  Mirala thought it through "and he thought he found one?"  she asked Emiline "most likely now he probably won't be back for a while" Emiline patted Mirala's shoulder smiling softly "when will he be back? i want to make things up with him apologize" Mirala looked at her "give him three nights, then go to the cliff he always goes there, im sure he will understand" Mirala only nodded and began to work on a plan for a apology present
