Ronna is just a short way away from her Choosing ceremony, and she is dreading it. Born into Candor, but doubting the values of her faction, she is torn: loyalty to her friends and family pulls her one way, but a longing for something different, for something more, pulls her in the opposite direction. Her Choosing is drawing closer and closer but she cannot bring herself to decide. Where will she let her blood fall?
