Epilogue Part: 1

Lydia's POV

"Mommy?" I heard a sleepy voice come from the door. I looked up to find Hayden rubbing his eyes. I gave him a smile which he returned with a sleepy one. I was sitting on my desktop so I pulled him onto my lap.

"What's up buddy?" I asked and hugged my baby as he kept rubbing his sleep away. "Is Leya awake yet?"

"I don't know." Hayden said and shrugged his small shoulders. I set him down on the floor and he held my index finger as I walked with him to Leya's bedroom. It was time for her to wake up as well.

I saw that Leya was starting to move so I decided to sit at the edge of the five year old's bed with her twin brother. "Baby, are you awake?"

"Mommy!" Leya opened her eyes and smiled at me as she stood up on the bed to hug my face. I held her back carefully as i hugged my daughter. It had already been 5 years and I was still kind of shocked that I was a mother from time to time.

"Ok kids, do you remember what today is?" I asked the kids playfully. They looked confused until Leya's expression changed then Hayden's did as well. It's like these kids read each other's minds.

"Daddy's birthday!" Leya and Hayden both said at the same time but it was more like scream in my ear. I winced because both of them were close to me.

"Ok so let's brush your teeth and I'll make us breakfast." I said as I pushed the kids to the bathroom. Leya turned back to face me.

"Mommy, what about daddy?" She asked with the most innocent look. Harry had left even before I could wake up and he had been doing this for a few days.

"He left early, you know how busy he is these days but don't worry he'll be at the party tonight." I said with a small smile.

We were holding a small party with all of our friends, I had told everyone to keep their schedules free for today and to keep it a secret from Harry as I wanted to surprise him. I was even going to bake a cake!

"What about your work mommy? Where's Mandy?" Hayden asked as he was curious like his sister. I kneeled down to the kids' level and put my hands on each side of their shoulders.

"Today is Mandy doesn't have work today and so do I but unless you want mommy to go back to work, let's go to brush you teeth, alright?" I said.

"Ok ok, don't go!" Hayden said lightly pushing his sister so he could go to the bathroom first. I rolled my eyes at him.

"Don't push me, that's rude!" Leya shouted at her brother as she ran behind him. I stood back up and followed them where they were both standing on the stool of their conjoined bathrooms.

I gave each of them their toothbrushes and put toothpaste on both of them. I helped them brush their teeth and later get them dressed into their clothes for the day.

Today was a Saturday so they had no kindergarten and I had taken my nanny, Mandy off work to spend time with my kids because I couldn't see them when I was working and traveling to places.

I let them watch tv in the living room while I prepared breakfast for them. I sat there watching them eat the food while I drank green tea. I softly caressed Hayden's head as he watched the tv and ate.

After they were done, I washed the dishes and tried to call Harry to see how things were going but like always, the call couldn't be picked up so I was left with the usual "sorry babe, can't talk" line.

I sighed and decided to call Bella as she was joining the party as well. I played with the kids and baked three cakes already because I knew the kids wouldn't like that part and would like to decorate rather than actually bake.

I had baked three cakes because I thought about giving one to the kids for them to destroy...I mean decorate haha.

A few minutes after putting the cake in the oven, the door bell rang and I went over to check it. I opened the door to find Bella with her adopted daughter, Annalise.

Bella and Alycia had married a year and a half ago and they had adopted quiet little Ananlise who was 7 years old just 5 months ago so she was still pretty new to us but Annalise had gotten pretty close to Hayden and Leya because she often came to visit us while her parents were off work. She was a quiet child but now she was talking even more every time I saw her.

"Hey." I said before going in to hug my best friend, she hugged me back as Anna stood next to us while holding her mom's hand. After we pulled, I bent down to hug Anna. "Hi, angel."

"Auntie Lyds." She said softly while hugging me. We pulled away as I stood back on my two feet and I invited the two girls in the house. "Leya! Hayden!" She said as soon as she spotted the twins on the sofa.

The twins welcomed her while Bella and I went to the kitchen to talk as I checked on the cake which was done baking. I put a toothpick in the baked cake and it came out clean so I put the cakes on the rack for them to cool.

"So, how's it going with Alycia?" I asked while placing the second cake on the rack.

"Great, what about you guys?" She asked leaning on the kitchen island. I shrugged my shoulders slightly as I looked at her. "He's still busy?"

"Yeah, I just want the damn album to be out already so I can have my husband back." I whined and Bella laughed. I guess it was the cons of dating a mega star like Harry but to be honest, it's worth every second. (A/N: obviously girlie, it's Harry we're talking abt lol 😉)

Just as I was about to say something, my phone rang from my pocket and I went over to pick it up. I saw the caller ID and sighed.

"Who is it?" Bella asked. I showed her the screen to which she rolled her eyes at. "Kendall? What does she want?"

"I don't know." I said and swiped the phone to answer the call. "Hello?"

"Hey."
