"where are we going now?" a teenager, about 14, asked the two other girls walking just in front of her. She was of average height, had long, brown hair tied in a low ponytail, and her blue-grey-green eyes were shining.
"It's break now!" one of the others said. This one was taller, with similar colored, but shorter hair. The first girl shook her head, smiling.
"Right, I forgot." First week at this new school, everything was confusing for her. As she went down the stairs, there was no way Leïa could have been aware of the heated discussion going on far away, between the marble pillars of Mount Olympus.

"No, no, and no again! I will not go back on my decision. This will never work. Leïa is a quiet, studious girl, who never does anything wrong on purpose. But what you are suggesting would ruin her!" Athena's angry voice tore through the air. Dionysius, wide, red face aglow with enthusiasm, replied happily.
"In my opinion, your little protégé is a little stuck up. She needs to relax! Spending time with Juliet would definitely do her some good." Athena glared at the fellow god.
"Stuck up? Stuck up?" her voice rose to a scream. "What by Zeus' scepter are you saying?? Leïa isn't stuck up!" Athena took a deep breath to calm herself. "Back to the point, I already agreed to let her meet Amber and Eloïse. That's bad enough." then she added in a mumble. "already too crazy in my opinion." Her voice went back to normal. "But Juliet? Never." Athena's firm gaze did not waver from Dionysius' softer one.

A third figure came closer.
"Athena, Juliet might be a little... Extravagant, as you would say, but do try to see her good side. She has a kind heart, and a very generous one. Don't you think they would make a great pair? One quiet, the other more outgoing.. They would balance each other out!" Slightly calmed by the love goddess' words, Athena sighed.
"Aphrodite, I do hear your words and understand your point. But don't you think spending time with Juliette might change Leïa.. In a bad way? They are so different..." Aphrodite smiled.
"Oh, I'm sure she'll be fine. And remember, if she is as good and smart as you say she is, she should be able to deal with it easily." Aphrodite gave a little smile.
Athena was still doubtful, but she was starting to see the sense in their arguments- even if she still didn't agree. "But what if-"
"What's going on here, Athena, Aphrodite, Dionysius?" a strong voice called. Lightning bolt in hand, Zeus himself was approaching the growing group.

"I heard angry voices and seemed to recognize yours, Athena." he raised an eyebrow in her direction, waiting for an explanation. Athena sighed.
"These two-" she pointed in the direction of a very innocent-looking Dionysius and a smiling Aphrodite, "Want to have Leïa and Juliet meet. I say this is all very new to Leïa and she doesn't need a crazy whirlwind to make it worse for her."
There was a short silence, Zeus staring at Athena. Then the god threw back his head and his booming laugh echoed far and wide. It lasted a good few seconds, and when he finally calmed down, he had to draw in a shaky breath.

"Ah, you do have a certain nerve to call Juliet a crazy whirlwind." he chuckled. "Normally Athena, I would listen to your wisdom, but I think the two girls will have quite a few fun adventures together." Athena glared. He was just as bad as Dionysius! But Zeus ignored her and turned to look behind him.
"Hermes, get over here! I have a mission for you." the thin, blond-haired messenger god was there in a few seconds, little white wings beating furiously on the sides of his sandals.
"Yes, Zeus?" he asked innocently.
"Now stop acting as if you weren't spying on us just before, and find a way to get Juliet and Leïa to meet." Hermes pouted.
"Aww, I thought you hadn't seen me." and with a flit of his small white wings, Hermes was gone. Athena had her arms crossed and an angry glare while watching the figure disappear. "I still don't think this is a good idea."

Hermes, invisible to human eyes, flitted through the crowded school hall. It wasn't long before he made out the tall, graceful figure of Juliet, her thick black hair unique in the crowd. Hermes got closer and carefully began to push people this way and that, slowly clearing a path for Juliet to approach his goal: Leïa, standing slightly to the side of her two friends, who were talking together. At last, Juliet spotted them and with a great "Whoop!" of joy, ran to them. Hermes watched for a while with an apologetic smile. Juliet was an extremely special girl, and he hoped she would get along well with Leïa.
