    Chapter 1-      Demon

fourteen years ago the most unthinkable happened to the planet humans call 'Earth'. A rift was opened, a portal from the demonic world to the human one. At first, the demons were summoned by choice, as experiments. The ones that scientists summoned first were of greater knowledge of the human world. There was Ayano, female demon of hypnosis and illusion. Tohra, male demon of math and psychotics. Hairo, male demon of fire and ice. Lastly, Hikara, female demon of war and bloodshed.

These four demons broke free of the experimental enclosement and explored what they had learned about of Earth. Losing four important demons, the scientists decided to try to use a rift to summon more demons. When only lesser demons with no knowledge came through, the workers became angry they couldn't summon one like the four demons previous. Getting to the point of only small pitiful demons, they got fed up and summoned 2000 at once. The machine broke somehow, and a permanent door was created for vicious creatures to cross through.

The human race is almost completely extinct. There is an estimated 15,000 people littering the aftermath of the attack. The Four First, as they call the group that first entered, have taken no interest on deterioration of  the beautiful planet. Even Hi---- --- -----

The rest of the pages were either burnt or blood drenched. I closed it and looked out the grime covered window. The world is halfway destroyed. Falling back onto my bed, I sighed. Most of that makeshift book is true. One thing they were incorrect about, is the third demon Hairo's powers. He does not have the fire and ice abilities, but the same occupation as Hikara's. He is the male demon of war and bloodshed, and happens to be her brother.

I sadly smiled. This lovely planet shouldn't have been destroyed. I wouldn't have minded slaughtering all of the humans, but I wish those idiotic demons wouldn't have tainted this Earth. "Hikara?" The deep voice sounded from above me. I looked up. My gaze was greeted with bright red eyes, matching my own. "Yes, Hairo?" I smiled at my twin brother.

"There has been sightings of Fox troops in the human state called Cal-E-Fornya." Hairo stated, a growl behind his usual gentle tone.

"Hmm. The west side of the Usa?" I mimicked from a map I once found. Fox is where the majority of the mortals went when the rift opened. Every now and then they will go out for food and water, somehow being shielded from man eating demons. Most demons don't eat people, usually just steal their souls or slaughter for fun. Commonly they will need human blood for longer youth.

"Yes, the West side. They have somehow created weaponry that can shield them from or even paralyze demons." He sat down on the edge of the bed and stared at me. His hair, not considering his teen-human face, was a light gray. His eyes were red orbs that seemed to suck the light out of the area instead of illuminating it. His face was a an almost bone white, a warning sign he wasn't human.

I, on the other hand had a bit of a darker color. Even though I was still an ivory, he paled in comparison. My eyes were the same neon bloody color. My hair was also a light gray, past my knees even in a hair tie. Practically the same features as Hairo, but more feminine. I was tall, yes, but way shorter than him. Despite being a girl, I had a very muscular build.

"Did any resources locate their hiding area? What about the first two?" I asked, now looking at the window.

"Ayano and Tohra are in the Eastern part of Earth. We are now In the Western part. They couldn't even get here in time. I think Ayano Is coming back with the hounds in 3 human days." Hairo scratched the dirt from underneath his nails with a knife.
