Once upon a time
I caught a little lime
It turned into a lemon
Then grew wings and flew to Yemen
It realized it was hot
And it feared that it would rot
So it went to the beach
Where a man was making a speech
The speech was about the bad taste
Of the cafeteria tomato paste.
The lemon bathed in the beach water
Where it met a nice otter
But as the lemon stayed
The beach water turned into lemonade
The swimmers yelled and got upset
So much that the lemon could not forget
The lemon felt bad and left
Feeling guilty, as though he was convicted of theft.
So the lemon left to watch a movie
And thought the soundtrack was very groovy
So it began to dance
And went into a hypnotic trance
But someone stepped on it
Then it began to have a fit
It later died
And lemons mourned world-wide
This is the legend of the lemon,
The one that flew to Yemen.
