It has been a few days since Ron had came out to Carl. Ron didn't know Carl was bi and he planned on telling Ron. He just didn't know when. Over the course of the few days, they had been together nonstop, sometimes with Enid, sometimes without. Even if she was there, it didn't matter. They were the only two people who mattered. They talked and talked. Played games. Ron showed Carl parts of Alexandria that he loved. They were walking back to Ron's house one day, side by side, when Carl decided to do it. To let Ron know that he was bi. Not only that, but that he liked him. A lot.
Carl looked down. Blue jeans next to cargo pants. Flannel next to a jean jacket. Brown cowboy hat to a black beanie. Thin hands next to thin hands. Carl grabbed Ron's hand. His heart thumped so hard he thought it was going to beat tight out of his chest. Ron stopped walking and looked down at their intertwined hands, looked up, and kept walking with a shit eating grin on his face. They walked all the way back to Ron's house, hand in hand.
A few people saw and noticed, but no one said anything. It was then that Carl realized the people of Alexandria were pretty open. Why have hate when there are barely enough people left to hate? There was one other gay couple in Alexandria: Aaron and his boyfriend. Tara was a lesbian. So, they were a pretty diverse group of people.
They were a block from the house when they turned a corner and ran straight into Enid. She looked down and saw their hands together.
With a smile on her face she proudly said "I knew as soon as you walked in this place, Carl. I could tell with you as well, Ron. I'm so happy for the both of you. You guys deserve so much." She wrapped her arms around both the boys and held them tight.
"Thank you, Enid." Carl said, unable to stop smiling. Ron mumbled a few words of appreciation as well. Neither one of them could stop smiling. Once she let go, she turned and stalked towards the wall that bordered Alexandria. She was probably about to go over and do her "walking through the woods" thing she is prone to do. Carl and Ron kept walking towards home. Ron squeezed Carl's hand. Carl squeezed back, just a bit harder. Something else on Carl was starting to get harder too. He tried to think of other things.
They stepped onto the porch of Ron's house and turned to face each other before entering. "You have made me so happy Carl. Just in the bit of time that we have been together. Even before we were TOGETHER together. I knew that you were something different when you walked through the front gate." Ron exclaimed, looking straight into Carl's blue eyes. Carl stared straight back. Ron released his head and leaned forward. He placed his lips right on Carl's. Carl was startled, but Carl didn't move away. He leaned in.
Carl pushed his tongue into Ron's mouth. He felt it intertwine with Ron's. Carl put his hand on the side of Ron's cheek and pulled him closer. Ron's snitch his hand around and placed it, so softly, on Carl's hip. Carl nearly convulsed in his pants. Carl pulled away from Ron and looked into his eyes. "Don't stop," Ron said, a proud smile on his face.
"We have to or this will progress to something I'm not sure we are ready for yet." Carl said, smiling back a bit, embarrassed.
"That was my first kiss with a guy, Carl. It was perfect. I hope to do it again sometime. Don't worry, I understand why we had to stop. With what I am feeling now it definitely would have progressed a lot farther." Ron winked at Carl. He turned around and went into his house. Carl looked down and stared at Ron's adorable ass as he walked away.
