Santa Amor (Saint love)

Santa Amour was unlike any city. Inspired by the Victorian Goth era and the Haciendas of Spain the architecture blended into tall spiraling towers and cozy verandas that overlooked the ocean. The church tall and imposing with its colorful stained glass and swirling steeple was the largest on the whole island. With one of the largest Temptest populations in the world, it was no wonder that people came in waves to visit. While Santa Amour is not Paris in the sense we are not the city of love, but people tended to come here and find their soulmates. More people have claimed to have been bitten by the love bug or touched by the saint of love. I have seen more weddings in the last week than most people

I, on the other hand, lived outside the city close enough to the mountains so people won't wander in but close enough to the city so that I can go to the market and get things I need. I rarely went into the city anymore.

Santa Amor was beautiful but the woods outside the city were exquisite. Tall redwoods and giant sequoias dominated but the most beautiful trees In my opinion was the Angel oak and willow that towered over my home and garden. The spiraling branches of the oak sheltered my house from the heat and sun and the willows drooping leaves gave ideal shade for my swing and mid-afternoon reading.

I thought I was alone and no one could find me, but I was so wrong and at this time and now and forever I never want to be alone again.
