Chapter 12

Eating breakfast with my husband he loves to cook I am glad he is the type of man that cleans up while he is cooking he says he does this because he doesn't like a mess he even washes the dished that we ate off of the kitchen was always left clean.  Dexdon is watching television I don't want to watch television. Hey, Dexdon I am going to call our children to see if it's ok for us to take our grandchildren out to lunch I want to go to V's. Do you want to go? Yes, that sounds like a lot of fun. I haven't seen my grandchildren altogether since I got married. So I am going to take them all out to lunch. I want to go to V's Buffet and I can take the children since there is a lot for them to choose from. So I am going to call our children so that can drop them off at V's Buffet there are ten children. We are enjoying our selves then we went back to the condo and we all got dressed and went to to the condo pool room. It's about time for the children to go home to their parents let me call them. Their clothes are in the dressing room so they can get dressed and be ready for their parents to come home. It is now five in the evening let me go and take a shower because Dexdon said we are going out to dinner. Dinner was great we ate cub subs, chips, and the house salad with a coffee.  We didn't stay out long we got back home at about six thirty and took our shower and just then when we were about to chill the doorbell rung. It is  Lafela and Jayden hi mother Rou and dad. What are the two of you doing over this way? We were over Zoe's she invited us to dinner and Jayden got to meet her and the girls. I we wanted to tell her that we are going to get married. Wow, you two didn't you just meet like two months ago. Don't you believe in love at first sight? Well yes. So since you are telling everyone this have you decided the day and all of that. In fact, we have dad replied Lafela that we will do this in two weeks. We don't want anything big we are going to move into Jayden house and settle down. You guys I am in love and happy. And that is all that it is yes I do want two children but we will wait a year.  But also mother Rou and dad we are just inviting his parents and my parents. So can you come? Yes dear. You just tell us what to wear and where to go and the time and we will be there.  Ok, thanks you guys we are leaving it takes us about twenty minutes to get back to our side of town and Jayden has to take me home (kisses and hugs). They didn't stay long so we started to watch some television and the doorbell rang it was  Sally Maze. Hi  Sally Maze. What's up? Oh, you guys forgot about the card party? Yes. When is it? It is starting in fifteen minutes.  Are you tow coming. Dexdon do you still want to go? Yes. Do we suppose to bring something? Yes, your money and a dish. Ok, we will be the in a few minutes. See you soon bye for now. I had fun at the card game. I know you did you wone everyone's money. How much did you win? Two hundred dollars. How much did you start out with? Twenty-five dollars so I actually won one hundred and seventy-five dollars. So what are you going to do with your winnings? What about yourself Desxdon what did you lose? I took twenty dollars with me and now you got it.  Goodmorning honey, are you going to church? Yes. Then you better get up and eat and get dressed church starts at ten thirty. I really did enjoy the preacher's service today. So did I. Let's change clothes so that we would be dressed for dinner? Ok. So where are we going? It's a surprise. But first, we need to stop over  Kiwi, Waldell's house  For what? I don't know Kiwi called and asked if we can stop over there. (Doorbell ringing) Hi mother Rou and dad. Come in and have a seat in the sitting room. Do you guys want anything? Yes. I would like a bottle of water said, mother, Rou and what do you want dad just a beer. Hey Waldell. How has it been going for you these days? I'm just fine. We are going to have a baby. What? Yes. How many months are you? I am three months. Why did you wait so long to tell us? Because I had a miscarriage two years ago.  And I didn't want to get my hopes up or anyone else so I waited. So do you know what you are going to have? We are going to have a boy. Have you picked out any names? We are going to name him after his father Waldell Jr.  That's great. Well, honey, we are going to leave we have a dinner date. Oh when is the baby due? The baby is due either the last part of June or the first week of July. Cool, we will be talking to you guys soon love you.  We are here the Eco Garden Hibachi restaurant. Rou I haven't been here in years I love their food. So what do you think of them getting married? I am wishing them the very best of luck and happiness in the world. Do you think she is with child? I hope not but if she is then it's about time.  Lafela is twenty-six and she said Jayden is twenty-seven they are not getting any younger.  Lafela said that they are just going to the justice of the peace. She said that she has found someone to rent her apartment so sublet her apartment. Yes. What is she going to do with her things? She will put some in the garage and some in the house. She said she needs to decorate the house because he has no sense of decorating.  And he does have two empty bedrooms. And she said she will make one of the rooms her office. She is going to put her couch and desk and other things in her office. So they have it all mapped out. It looks like that. Well, honey, I am very happy for them. We can buy them a wedding gift and send it to the house.  Are they going on a honeymoon? Yes, they are going to Jamaica for two weeks. Jayden has spring break coming with his students and then he is going to take another week. And Lafela never takes a vacation so she has months of vacation saved up. Well, they are married and is packed and ready to leave. Dexdon and I gave them a thousand dollars check to spend while they are in Jamaica.  I did mention a couple places that I think they might like Montego Bay the Bob Marley Museum and maybe this town call Negril that is located in the western area of Jamaica.  Hey, honey Otto called and he want's us to stop by after work while we are in the city. Did he say what he wanted? He said it is huge news.  So do you want me to take you to work or drive your self? I will ride with you I love your company.  Did Otto say that it bad? No.  Ok, so we will go over there together after work to see what is going on. (Ringing the doorbell) Hi mother and Dexxdon. Please come in and have a seat. Can I get you anything? Yes please give me let me get a bottle of water son, please. Yes, mother. And what can I get you Dexdon? Do you have any beer? Yes. Well, let me get one of those. So what is this huge thing you want us to know about? Mary tell them ok give me time. Don't keep anyone in suspense. Well, I have been offered a position at the school. What is it?  I have been offered to be the  Professor of American History; and the Dean of Continuing Education and Summer Session. It's more money. So are you going to take the position? Yes. Have you told the girls? Yes. They are happy for me and they want to take me out for a special dinner and they said they will pay for me and their dad their treat. And I also wanted to know if you would like to go with us to celebrate? Do you want to go Dexdon? Yes. What about you? Did you plan anything? No. Ok, then we will go? What time and where should we meet. We need to go home and change our clothes. We will meet you at the House of Steaks. They are located at 77 South 61st. Their food is enormous and they have their signature stuffed bread chops served with a maze of clubby.  We will be there at five thirty p.m.. Ok, we will see you soon. We are over here mother... how are my babies doing? Fine Grand. We haven't ordered our food yet we were waiting for the two of you. I am so full the food is good here I have never been here. How did you find it? We had a luncheon here with my job. So are you going to still be doing the same thing? No.  But I  will still be teaching my class that is my passion. And I will be in another building and I have a secretary and I have my own office. Well, honey, that sounds great I am so very happy for you. So when do you start? I will be starting on Monday.  So when do we get to see your office?  Once I have settled in. Well, honey, we are going to be leaving it's getting late.
