Adobea's POV
'OK so I want you guys to split into three groups for the group work ' said Mr. Amponsah our Government tutor.
I was a little nervous since it was a new class with new classmates. All the boys packed themselves into one group leaving Aba and I to fend for ourselves. We realized that they would not allow us to join their group so in order to avoid crying over spilt milk we formed our own little group of two. We were analyzing the question Mr. Amponsah had given to us when a voice cleared behind us. We turned only to find out that it was Ekow.
Aba chirped angrily,''WHAT DO YOU WANT ?!!"
"Cool down shodie ,just wanted to help ,can I join your group?" He asked. She was about to yell at him angrily for preventing us from joining their group when I intervened. ''It's okay I don't mind'' Aba looked at me like I was nuts but I shrugged.
We ended up having a great time and our group emerged as the best presentation on colonisation in Africa.
When Mr. Amponsah declared us winners, I hugged Aba and another person whom I didn't realize I was hugging till I heard a whisper in my ear saying "You did it". I opened my eyes only to realize that it was Ekow.
I hurriedly pulled away from him only to be shoved into a wall by Ebo, a boy who literally hated me from the first day he set eyes on me. " How dare you steal our group leader and take the first position? " He bellowed. I was waiting for the slap on my cheek with my eyes closed when I felt his heavy weight lifted off me. I opened my eyes to see why he didn't attack me and so that Ekow had held his collar and was screaming at him."Don't you dare lift a finger on her !!"."But dude why are you attacking me and defending her? Is she your new catch?" he blurted out shocked.
"What if she was? Does it hurt you in any way?"
Whoops" everybody shouted
In order to avoid further embarrassment Ebo run out of the class but not before glaring at me and saying "You will pay for this!!"
Aba run to me and asked if I was OK. I nodded and sobbed into her hands. She patted my head and told me everything was going to be alright. She then directed her anger on Ekow and said "If it wasn't for you,my friend here would not be going through this mess.
Can I make it up to you by buying you ice cream? I am Ekow Eyiah by the way what's yours?
