A woman walks through the dreary streets of Detroit, Michigan, a man follows. As he follows, the night sky gets darker and darker. This had happened only once before, and now for the second time he gets to her house and stands there in wait, standing, waiting, waiting. After a few minutes flew overhead, the man knocked on the door, once, twice..., then she answered. The man approached her and said, "Hello, my name is Louis Palero, I just moved into your neighborhood. I was wondering if I could perhaps meet a few people, this just so happened to be my third stop." In front of Louis, a young woman stood about five feet and six inches. She had luscious blonde hair and brilliant blue eyes. She was wearing jeans and a semi-formal button up shirt. Then she spoke, and to Louis, her voice sounded like a thousand angels singing the praises of their gods. "No worries, my name is Janet Collier. I would be happy to be acquainted with you." To Janet, Louis was a tall and slender man. Louis came inside, and in front of him was a room filled with furniture and a television in the middle of the green room. All that Louis could think was what he could do in that room, then he smelled something, the tender yet crisp smell of cookie dough. She accompanied him to the next room over, which was the kitchen, and asked, "So Louis, where are you originally from?" Louis had not thought about that question, but he still answered clearly with no hesitation, "I was born in Los Angeles, but my parents died so I moved to Detroit with my grandparents." Shocked by his response, Janet consoled Louis. That was what he wanted... all of a sudden, Louis jumped up and pinned Janet. Janet screamed for help, but nobody could hear her cries. Louis silenced her by smashing her head in with a meat hammer. "What a nice woman, she even baked cookies for me." Then Louis let out a psychotic laugh that caused the neighbors to feel shivers down their spines even though they could not hear him. Louis sang to himself, "Once a little lamb mislead to the wolf, twice a small rat snuffed out by a fox, that is the story of the shadows at night, and the next verse stays as a small little secret.
The next day, Louis was wandering around Detroit looking for his next victim. Eventually, he found a young woman who he saw walking out of the College for Creative Studies. The next day, he posed as a student and confronted her. As he approached, another guy intercepted him and began talking to her, although Louis could not tell what was said between the two. The following day, Louis returned to talk with her, and as he approached her, he was blocked by the same guy. After a few days of the same event, Louis followed the guy home. At midnight, Louis knocked on the door, knocked and knocked. When the guy finally answered the door, Louis charged into his house and shut off the lights by the door and ran blindly. Louis was not helpless in the dark even if he had no knowledge of where he was, he was a shadow, and shadows are born in the darkness. After the lights were turned back on, Louis had already won, for Louis had used a lamp to smash his legs. The next day, Louis proceeded to visit the young girl as a college student. As he approached her, she started looking around, and that served as Louis' opportunity. Louis swept in and asked, "What are you looking for?" She hastily responded to him saying, "I was looking for my boyfriend, his name is Jay." She proceeded to describe him in the most detailed way she could. Louis thought of what to say carefully before he decided, "A girl like you is to good for someone who leaves you here for any reason besides, he does not deserve you." She was mildly disturbed by Louis' comment, she walked away with a sense of danger from Louis. Louis followed her home that night and climbed to her roof. He sat there until his watch struck midnight, which is when he crawled back down the house and knocked on the door. He knocked on the door. He knocked. She finally answered, and tried to slam the door of Louis, but she just was weaker than Louis, so he forced the door open and pinned her down. She tried to scream, but before she could, Louis shoved a trowel down her throat, with the trowel, her neck was shredded and silver could be seen protruding from two sides of her neck. He let out another psychotic laugh and woke up one of her neighbors.
Then when Louis had exited the house, her neighbor caught him and asked, "What was all that noise, did you just you know, free your willy in her?" Louis replied with straight silence and walked away. However, he did not realize that the neighbor had followed him to his den. When the neighbor saw the pictures of so many girls pinned on a board, the neighbor called the police.
