"A mortal??" He spoke, his eyes looking up and down your figure.

"What is your name, Mortal!" He yelled as he banged his staff on the kitchen floor, possibly leaving a stretch on the tile. You were too scared and shook to speak as the man still stares at you, waiting for an answer. "Well??" Your lips open as you were about to speak, but nothing came out, only a small squeak. You heard Scout quietly said 'Oh my god...' then yelled, "His/Her name is (Y/N)!!" Everyone, including you turned to Scout, whose expression changed to worry for some reason.

"So.... (Y/N)..." He began. You kept quiet once again as he starts moving around you as he continues to inspect you. "I see you been taking care of these... men for a while.." He stares back at the mercenaries sitting and standing on the table near the dollhouse. "Yep! (Y/N) has been taking good care of us, Merasmus! She/He is a good soldier!" 'So This.. man's name is.... Merasmus?' You thought as his eyes glared back at you. The eye in the left skull pupil slowly creeps you out as it glared at you too. "I see... A good soldier.." He said questioningly. "Y...Yes.." You spoke quietly. "Ah! The mortal speaks!" He spoke sort of happily. "Well.. My name is Merasmus..." He points his long boney finger to the mercenaries. "And I'm the one that turned them into the little men that you have been taking of." "Why? Did.. Soldier do it?" You asked  before thinking of it being Soldier's fault. Merasmus turned back to you and his lips formed a wide smile. "I like this mortal! Yes! Yes, he did!" You turned to Soldier. "I've told him multiple times to not bring those disgusting creatures in my castle... But he disobeyed and those creatures destroyed my spell book!!"

He grabbed the book from his side and showed to you. The poor book has scratches, bites, even... slobber from the creatures.

"What.. kind of creatures were they?" You asked, looking up to him. His expression went to anger as he turned to Soldier, who just waved while picking his nose. "He brought raccoons into my castle, thinking he can control them, but they went and destroyed the book!" His eyes started glowing green with flames. Terrified, you slowly move away with the destroyed book in your hands. "So I changed him into what he is! And apparently, he somehow made the others small.." He explained angrily and turned to you slowly. "O.. Oh." You spoke gently and was about to ask him more about them, when you noticed he was at your fridge. As he bent down to inspect everything, he grabbed the hidden bottle you kept behind the bowl of grapes. Welp, there goes your last bottle. "Are.. Are you thinking of changing them back to.. normal?" You asked as you intertwine your hands together. Merasmus opened the bottle and starts drinking. After a quiet exhale, he turned to you.

"Nope."

"W...What?! Why?!" You asked in shock.

He took another chug from the bottle and put a finger up, showing a 'Wait a second.' You place the sort of destroyed book on the table. You heard him 'ah' loudly and placed the empty bottle on the counter. "Well..?" You asked, now impatient and irritated of his actions. "I'm not changing them back.. unless Soldier gets THOSE STUPID RACCOONS OUT OF MY CASTLE!!" Merasmus turned to Soldier, his eyes glowing green again. "And. They. Are. Still. THERE!!!" Soldier only just smiled while you just sigh heavily. "Soldier," You walked up to the mercenaries and held up Soldier. "Hello (Y/N)!" "Can you just get the raccoons out of his castle? And don't bring anymore?" Soldier's lip lowered down, meaning he's sad of having to let his people go homeless. "But I'm the Raccoon King! It's their home!" He raised his fists and starts hitting your thumb, doing 0 damage, but it tickled. "Soldier.. Can you just... Maybe make them a place outside the castle.. and keep them away from the book?" You watched him shake his head once again. Is this man really hard to get through...

"I can help with that."

Engineer walked up to you and Soldier, being careful of not falling. You smile and turned back to Soldier. "See? Engie will be glad to help you build for your raccoon friends." "I do not trust him! He'll just build those sentries that'll hurt them!" He sort of yelled while pointing to Engineer. "Just give Engie a shot, Soldier." You laid your other hand to your chest. "Hell.. I'll even help." Soldier looked at you for a minute, then to Engineer whose hat is in his hands. "I'll even get the men to help.. Except for Scout." He spoke, ignoring Scout saying 'Wha?'. Soldier was about answer the decision, but Merasmus decided it first. "Then it's settled! We'll build a nice place for the creatures!" Everyone turned to him with confused looks. Soldier didn't decide.. but he did.

"LET'S GET TO MY CASTLE!!" He yelled, walking away from the kitchen and to the front door, waiting for you to get the others. "He seems happy about his decision.. Except for Soldier's.." You spoke sort of angrily. But one by one, you place them all in the box they were in since day 1 and walked to Merasmus.

Time Skip to around 7:30 ish ~

(Merasmus made the mercenaries normal size.. but he'll turn them back)

"There! All done!" You yelled tiredly, examining a small, yet beautiful house for the raccoons. Everyone laid by Engie's dispenser to give them health and a big cooler full of beverages. "Where's the raccoons?" "Still in the castle with Soldier." Scout said tiredly, taking a very long drink of beer. You start walking up to the castle where Soldier is with all of the raccoons... And Merasmus too, except he's covered in scratches. "You.. ok, Merasmus?" He didn't want to speak as he just stands up and walks into his kitchen. "Oooookkkk? By the way, the house is done." You spoke to Soldier, who immediately stood up. "Thank you, (Y/N)!" He starts walking while saying, "Follow me, my people. We got a new place!"

Time Skip Again!~

You enter your apartment drenched in sweat. And sadly you were holding the box that has all 9 mercenaries. Merasmus could of at least kept them normal instead of changing them back to pocket sized. You place the box on the table and immediately sat on the chair, a loud sigh escaped your mouth. You open up the box to see them all laying down or sitting on a corner with their heads down.

You smiled at them all sleeping, especially with Medic and Heavy sleeping close to each other, hands almost intertwined. You wanted to put them in their little beds in the dollhouse, but you didn't want to disturb them sleeping peacefully. So quietly, you walked away from the kitchen and to your bedroom, where you change into your sleepwear. You then slowly go under your sheets with your toes poking out a bit and rests your head on your pillow.

You start thinking of the mercenaries and just wished Merasmus could of kept them normal instead of changing them back so they can do their normal things without being small... As you thought of that, your eyes slowly close and you feel into a deep sleep.
