"Some things are just out of our control, and we have to accept that."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Sonja moved the blanket on the couch, Wag groaned.
"What...What do you want?" He groaned annoyed. Sonja's eyes soften.
"Are you sure you are okay? And why aren't you in a bed—"
"Because your boyfriend and his friends decided to break mine." Wag snapped shocking her a bit. She stood.
"Oh...I'm sorry, are you—"
"Waglington!" Syndicate said coming up from the elevator. Wag groaned and touched his achy head. 'I woke up so many times over the night, my head is killing me. I need to get a new bed, this couch is not comfy.' He thought. Sonja looked at Wag, seeing his pained and annoyed expression.
"I have an extra bed at my home, do you want to sleep there?" Sonja asked. Wag looked at her. 'That would be just too weird.' He thought. Sonja frowned, almost like he read Wag's thoughts. "Take your mind out of the gutter. You just look really tired and in pain. I get killer headaches too, especially when Tom is around." Syndicate came beside her.
"Hey! Not my fault you can't take my beautiful voice." He said. Sonja grabbed Wag's wrist, pulling him on his feet.
"Come on, you can see James later, Syndicate. He needs to rest." Sonja said pulling Wag behind her. He grabbed Wag's arm, stopping her.
"Wait, I need him for just one thing—" Wag stared at the flooring as Sonja and Syndicate argued. His eyes widen as their voices drown out from his hearing, feeling almost as if he was in shut down mode, he couldn't move his body and his senses expect for his blurry vision responded. But he could hear a voice...a different one, one that he recognized. And yet before he could understand the words they spoke, he was brought back to reality feeling someone shaking him and seeing Sonja on her knees in front of him, looking worried.
"James, say something." She said nervously. It took him a second to realize he was sitting down and Syndicate beside him looking concerned as well. Wag looked at Sonja.
"Wha..I...blacked out. Wh-What..happened?" Wag mumbled touching his achy head. Syndicate looked at Sonja.
"Take him to your extra room and let him sleep." Syndicate said to her. Sonja nodded and Wag looked at Syndicate confused at his suddenly serious tone. Syndicate looked at him. "Get some sleep, Waglington." Sonja and Syndicate helped Wag to his feet and she put his arm around her neck as they walked to the elevator, disappearing. Syndicate didn't move, but he looked towards the window. "What was that? Why did he just suddenly collapse?"
"I don't know. But did you see the look on his face, the look in his eyes." Spirit Dianite spoke, Syndicate nodded. He knew the look, his eyes looked empty, like he was there physically, but was mentally somewhere far away.
"Yeah...I did. I don't like it." Syndicate said. He knew Wag like the back of his hand, he was one of his closest friends, so the fact that something is going on with him that he can't fix bothered the hell out of him. As much as it doesn't seem like it, Syndicate cares about his friends and what happens to them.
