The Heart of A Semi-Broken Survivor

First impressions are important

Clementine peaks into the room, that had been filling the corridor with symphonies of what sounded like a piano, and breathes out a sigh of relief as she sees AJ swaying slightly to the stranger..."Louis I think his name was". She cant help but smile at the sight of AJ relaxing for once, it was a nice and welcomed contrast to him always being on guard. She leans against the door for a moment just allowing this moment to continue, however all good things must come to an end and it seems AJ caught a glimpse of her and turned around "Clem!" He then begins running over to her and Clem cant help but do the same towards him before sliding onto her knees as they collide into a hug filled with pure relief for the others safety. Clem pulls back from the hug first checking AJ's front and then his back for any wounds as he states frantically "You're okay! I-I thought, I was afraid you were-". After Clem patted around his body to see if anywhere hurt she turned him to face her "I'm okay, and you know what you are?" she asks grinning, the question causes AJ to tilt his head in confusion "what?" Clem smiles and moves closer to him and begins to tickle him all over, causing the young boy to laugh uncontrollably and try to wiggle away from her.

"That's adorable", Clem looks up to see where the voice had come from, only to see a smiling boy that seems oddly similar to that famous child back before the apocalypse "what was his name again? ah, uh...Jason Smythe? Jordan...Smit? Jaden Smith! This must be Louis". Louis fully turns towards Clem and AJ ceasing his piano playing  "its good to know you're not dead, otherwise I don't know if watching this little guy would be as rewarding as it was" he says charmingly. AJ pouts at this "my name is AJ", Louis snorts " well excuse me, watching AJ wouldn't have been as rewarding if you were dead" he chuckles which causes AJ to frown believing he wasn't being taken seriously. Well we don't want this escalating too fast now do we, so Clem stands infront of AJ stating "Thanks, I appreciate it, I hope he wasn't too much trouble Louis". If Louis was perturbed by Clem knowing his name he didnt show it as he shrugs "nah he was a right angel, well until Ruby entered the picture, oof he almost took a chunk outta her", Clem cringes, oh right, she had forgotten about that for a moment. She turns to AJ and kneels to get back on his level "right about that, AJ you know you can't be doing that, these guys helped us", she states looking upon Alvin Junior with a mild disapproving stare. AJ becomes afronted at this before becoming defensive "I didn't mean too, she snuck up on me" Clem shakes her head slightly "still no more bites AJ" and he lowers his arms from there defensive cross in defeat muttering a reaffirmation of her point "no more bites."

Louis chooses this time to interject "hey dont sweat it, Ruby can be a little intense anyways, besides the kid wasnt bad at all after that, it probably had something to do with my alluring music" he says smiling once more, seriously does this guy ever stop smiling, before stretching out his arms and begins playing a melody on his piano again. Clementine rolls her eyes when she hears its the same one from earlier, but before she can request another someone cuts her off "seriously Lou don't you know any other songs?" Clem and AJ's head whip back towards the door to see Sophie leaning against the door "hey Clementine sorry I just came to check on you and your boy but I see Lou has entangled you in his musical death trap" she chuckles as Louis puts on a mock offended look upon his face "how dare you, and for your information my dear Soph I do, you up for a quick little duet for our newcomer audience?". AJ starts smiling becoming excited at the aspect but then deflates a little when he comes to a realisation that he doesn't share, Clem looks at him confused before back to the other teenagers in the room. Louis has a hopeful look in his eyes that are begging Sophie to play along, but she seems unsure. Sophie bites her lip and looks down at the ground and then at then at the bracelet adorning her wrists "I dunno Lou, ya know singing and music isn't exactly my forte" she says somewhat solemnly which seems to worry Clementine even more. Louis then looks up at her reassuringly "c'mon it will be fun, you'll have me to sing with you" he says with a softer and more genuine tone, before reverting back to a more layed back one "besides whose gonna judge you? Not us right AJ? Clem?" He turns to look at the duo in question, who resemble at the moment a deer caught in headlights, Clem figures its only polite to reassure her...or try too, "o-oh yeah, n-no we wouldn't judge, I'm sure you're really good, I-I mean you dont have to if you don't want t-to obviously but-" Soph smiles at her as she cuts off her words "its okay Clem, I'll give it a shot Lou but I swear to god if I'm embarrassed by the end of this you'll have Vi to deal with" she says shaking her head smiling, her silken brown locks cascading across her shoulders and back as she does, while she moves to sit on the now closed piano top, seemingly ready to give AJ and Clem a show.
