You look shit faced Cat," Dwayne said walking up to me and dropping a stack of files on my desk oh God why does he have to be so loud. "Heavy weekend?' he asked a sly smile playing on he's lips. "Camile dragged me to a party yesterday I can't even think straight what the fuck is this?" I asked pointing to the files.
Reviews you were supposed to do on Friday and that are supposed to have been on Jack's desk today morning. Jack will fire both of us if you don't look at them before the next meeting." When is the next meeting?" "In two hours ," he said laughing " I'll leave you to it I have a lunch date and I don't want to be late" "oh the doctor?" "No this one's an artist he said adjusting the scarf on he's neck "Tah tah," just like that he left the stupid files on my desk and walked out.
I had been on the same page for the last ten minutes ,getting up I decided it'd be a good idea to go get coffee so I made my way to the breakroom. I decided an expresso was much needed and as I waited for it to get ready I decided to go through my phone I had dreaded opening it this morning cause I knew Camile with be seething and sending daggers through the phone....and I was right.
where are you I got you a date!
Why aren't you picking up !!!bitch you better be in a coma
I was already feeling bad as it was and I wasn't in the mood for Camile's rants quite frankly. The ding of the machine made me know that my expresso was ready. I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw someone reach out for it instead he's back turned to me." Excuse me who do you think you are taking my coffee?"
Everything I had been mulling over vanished from my mind as I faced the most gorgeous man i had ever seen. He extended he's hand "Dean" Dear God ,his voice was as delicious as the rest of him. Throaty and warm , like fine, aged whisky. "Who do you think you are taking my expresso?" I asked again swallowing past a painfully dry throat darn him.
There was a hardness in those amber eyes as he stared at me and took a sip of my expresso. The nerve of this man." Answer me " I demanded getting impatient the headache seemed to get worse every time I spoke." I don't answer to anybody " he stated matter of factly before turning away and walking out of the break room. Idiot as if that explained why he drunk my expresso. Feeling even worse than before I made another one I already dreaded this day.
