Chapter One

Abbey's P.O.V.

I look around nervously at all the people around me. There were girls everywhere. I couldn't believe it. I looked over at my best friend to make sure she was still by my side. I breathed a sigh if relief seeing that she was still there. I smiled to myself as I thought about them and then all if a sudden everything got louder as the girls started to scream. I stood on my tiptoes and craned my neck to try to see and just caught a glimpse of them sitting down. One Direction. I was going to finally get to meet them. Looking over at Lea I could tell she was freaking out as much as I was. She turned and faced me, huge smile growing even bigger on her face.

"Ohmigod Abbey can you believe we're here?!" Lea screamed in my face jumping up and down.

"Nope." I said laughing. I actually couldn't. It's a miracle I got out of my room where I am most days. Ever since my mom died my stepdad keeps me locked up. The only time I get out is when he takes his anger out on me or I sneak out, like today. I sigh. I can feel Lea staring at me which means I probably missed something she said.

"Hey Abbey! You okay? You spaced on me again."

I tried to smile my best. "Hm? Oh yes. I'm fine. Never better." I replied with a slight chuckle.

She gave me a skeptic look and continued to stare at me. Her eyes left my face and traveled down to my wrists. I tugged nervously on my jacket sleeve hoping that it was covering my wrist and that she wouldn't see the fresh marks. Looking back up at my face she sighed.

"Okay." she said satisfied for the moment.

If she noticed anything she's not telling me now. Shell say something later and give me the sane speech again. She just doesn't get it, I thought. Oh well, this was supposed to be a fun day so let's just focus on what's ahead. The boys. Literally. There was only 8 more people in front of Lea and I. I tapped her on the shoulder.

"Almost there." I said breaking out into a wide grin.

"I know! Ohmigod! Ohmigod! This is really happening!" she said bouncing up and down even faster than before.

While I was just as excited as she was I was determined to try and keep my cool in front of them. To try to not look...well slightly mental like Lea. On the inside though I was acting exactly like her. Freaking out and trying very hard to hold in the scream that was building up inside me. Lea however was just letting it all out.

"OHMIGOD!" Lea screamed again.

"Lea! Calm down! You're next in line. You don't want to look like a complete nut in front of them. So just breathe." I said looking at her.

She inhaled deeply, breathing out and then slowly turned around and walked up to the table. As soon as she reached the table she started squealing and bouncing all over again. Looking I saw Niall was the first one seated at the table. He looked very amused by Lea's squeals. I took a deep breath and walked up to the table.

Harry's P.O.V.

"Hello love. And who do I make this out to?" I say flashing my charming smile.

"J-J-Jenna." the girl barely stutters out. I take the photo of the lads from the girl and by myself I write.

"There you go love." I say winking at her and handing it back.

"Th-Tha-Thank you." she stutters out, her face going red. As she walks away and another girl takes her spot I hear Zayn snicker beside me.

"What?" I say looking over at him. Smiling and handing the signed book back to the girl he looks at me.

"What?" I say again getting slightly impatient.

"Nothing." he says not looking up. "Just find it funny that every girl had the same reaction to you. Can't speak, flushes red. It's amusing."

I laugh as the next girl stops in front of me. "Zayn incase you haven't noticed girls react to all of us like that."

Zayn chuckled. "Yeah I know mate, but you always seem to get it the worst."

I sighed. He was right. Out of the five of us, girls always acted the worst around me. I guess it was something I'd just have to get used to. I looked down turning my attention to the girl standing in front of Niall. She was beautiful. Just below the shoulder length brown wavy hair with sparkling blue eyes. As she laughed at something Niall said her entire face lit up. Right then I decided I had to talk to her. Had to get to know her. I hadn't even met her yet and all I wanted to do was hold her in my arms forever. I looked over again and she was standing in front of Liam. I smiled. In a matter of seconds if get to talk to her.

Abbey's P.O.V.

My heart rate quickened as I walked to Harry. He had always been my favorite. I couldn't believe I was finally meeting him. Stopping in front of him my breath caught. He was ever cuter in person.

"Hello love." he said smiling and winking at me.

"H-Hi Harry." I managed to choke out. I clutch the CD that I'm holding even tighter.

"Would you like me to sign that?" he asked pointing TI the CD I'm holding.

"Yes." I say as I hand it to him.

Just as he's about to take it someone slams into me causing me to drop the CD. Slightly annoyed I reach down and pick it up handing it back across the table to Harry. He takes it and as I start to pull my hand away he grabs my wrist. I look at him and follow his eyes to where he's looking. I gasp when I realize he's staring at my wrist. My scars completely exposed. I look at his face trying to read his expression. His eyes meet mine and they're full of sadness and something else...anger?

"Why?" he barley whispers.

I feel like I'm going to start crying. "Long story." I manage to choke out.

He looks at me, his beautiful blue green eyes filled with sadness. He brings his face to my wrist and kisses it twice slowly. His eyes meet mine again as he waves his hand toward a large man. He walks over and Harry whispers in his ear, the man nodding. Harry then turns to look at me.

"I want to hear every word of it." he says looking right into my eyes. "Go with Paul. He'll show you were you can wait for me and the lads until we're done here."

I nod slowly and then suddenly remember Lea. I look around frantically and spot her standing off to the side watching the situation with curiosity in her eyes.

"My friend is here with me." I say nodding towards Lea.

Looking over at Lea he nods his head, turning to look at Paul he waves him back and whispered something in his ear. Nodding Paul walked over to where Lea was standing and began talking to her.

"Your friend can go with you." He looked up to see Paul standing beside him again.

"I'll be right to you as soon as we're done here." he said looking into my eyes with sadness. He brought his head down and slowly kissed my wrist again and then nodded to Paul. I was then being ushered away from the crowd a d out of the mall into a waiting van. As I hit in a d the car started I leaned against the door. My head was spinning. Sighing I looked out the window at the passing scenery trying to figure out where we were going, and what had just happened.
