I put flyers in the surrounding supermarkets as well as spamming my social media accounts with promotions and pictures of my work in the hope that i would get some recognition.

As i grew bored of waiting on work, i filmed many mini tutorials my viewers could use. I went old school and began to use a lot of hashtags to get my work viewed my people from everywhere i noticed since i put my pictures location to LA i gained a lot of followers from the surrounding area.

Finally i got a DM from a girl looking to know if I could do her and her friends makeup and of course I was way more excited than i should have been but they were my first clients since i moved.

As the clock approached 4PM I switched on my ring light and I waited for my clients.
I hear the buzzer ring and I press the button for them to enter.

As I pull back the door my face drops...

Emma freaking Chamberlain is standing at my door and I can't even try to hold it together.

"Oh my god you're Emma" I say in complete disbelief. I look at the other girl and again I'm in shock. "Ellie Thuman I never even payed attention to your name when you messaged me this is crazy please come in before I fan girl any more" I laugh, embarrassed as ever.

I introduced myself and begin Ellie's makeup they tell me they are heading to BeautyCon and that's why they wanted to get glammed up.

"Yeah well sister James was meant to do our makeup but he has the glam squad round at his house so he had no time for us" Ellie laughed shyly.

I laughed too and asked so many questions about the event later that night. Who would be there, what do you do, how do you get in etc.

They started to list off all the influencers who attended as I stood there in awe.

As I finished Ellie's makeup I noticed she gave Emma a strange look as she got up to switch seats. Maybe she didn't like her makeup?

As I started Emma's makeup the room went quiet until Emma blurted out, "so Kendall, would you like to go to BeautyCon?".

"Yes one day I will make sure I'm there" I laughed.

"No I mean do you want us to bring you to BeautyCon" we can get an extra pass it would be great for you to meet everyone if you're trying to kick start your business" Emma says.

I can't even speak..

I try to gather words and all I manage was "oh my god".
That isn't even an answer like hello Kendall get your shit together.

"I would love to" I finally respond. I can barely finish Emma's makeup I'm shaking that much.

Why are they doing this for me? Do they feel sorry for me? Maybe I'm over thinking this completely.

The three of us exchange numbers. Yes I actually said that. I have their numbers...

We arranged to meet in an hour outside the venue as I went and got myself ready.

Is this really happening??
