'I dangle there, no longer in control of my own limbs, as I watch fate play me like a puppet.'

I walk on a thin line every day, trying to ignore all the bright-colored threads around me. It's hard to believe that no one else can see the mess that I see.
Ah- time to introduce myself is it? I'm (y/n) (l/n) I was born into a poor family, we didn't have much but we always found a way to make it through tough times. I'm the only living member of my family, my parents were both victims of my quirk. They didn't survive, of course, no one does.
You must be wondering what my quirk is. Well, it's rather complicated and simple at the same time. My quirk is called 'Eyes of Fate' my pupils are like a goats, but the color is red, so in a way, my red eyes look like they have a piece of string going through them. With my weird-looking eyes, I can see everyone's fate as a red piece of string that is pulled tight when something is going to happen to them. If the string makes contact with my skin, I can see everything that happens in that person's life and if I wanted to I could yank their string and snap it which will cause the person to die a quick painless death. Which is what happened to my parents.
I was 5 years old when my quirk awakened. When I opened my eyes all I saw were pretty red strings everywhere and being a curious kid I followed one of them. It led me to my mother who was standing in the kitchen making coffee.
"Mama, what's this pretty red string that's attached to you?"
"What do you mean, sweetie?" She asked not looking at me.
"This," and I yanked it.
The string snapped easily, and when it did my mom fell to the ground like a rag doll.
Hearing the loud noise my father rushed into the kitchen.
"What happened! (M/n)! (M/n) are you alright?" My father crouched by my mother's lifeless body.
"I tried showing mommy the pretty red string, then she fell. Daddy, why is mommy sleeping on the floor?"
My father touched my mother's neck searching for the pulse that is not there.
"She's dead, wha- she can't be! Impossible!" My father's face was a pulsing red.
Then he turned to me.
"(Y/n)- your eyes! Demon! What did you do to my family!" His eyes seemed to bulge and spit flew out every time he yelled.
"I tried showing mommy the pretty red string. D-daddy, what is t-that?" My young innocent self didn't grasp the situation.
My father went to the counter and grabbed a kitchen knife.
He slowly turned towards me
"LEAVE MY FAMILY YOU DEMON!" he started charging towards me.
"I-I can prove it daddy! Watch! *Yank*" I yanked his red string and then he too went limp.
The cops showed up about 3 weeks after the incident. I wasn't found guilty of anything since I was only a child and didn't know what I was doing. But I still have nightmares of my father attempting to kill me.
The cops still keep a close eye on me as if I was a villain of some sort, but I'm used to it now.
But what the cops don't know is that my parents aren't the only victims of my quirk.
I was in 6th grade and was heading to school. I was walking in a crowded area when I tripped. It just so happened a red string tightened and touched the exposed part of my ankle. What happened is that the loose string tightened sensing something was about to happen to the It is common for people's strings to tighten when something is about to happen to that person's fate. Which is exactly what happened. That person just so happened to be another student.
Her name was Jillian, I didn't know her much back then, she was the girl who sat in front of the class and spoke to no one.
As I tripped over her string, it snapped, but I didn't expect to see her memories as she fell to the ground. I remember every last detail of her memories from the color of her nursery to the name of her last cat. It's hard to forget someone's memories when you know your the reason they ended. This is why I have a special therapist that treats kids with traumatic experiences. He had the quirk to be able to lock away any memory he wants to. He had done it to me quite often, for some reason every month the memory he 'locks' unlocks, and I have to go back to get it locked again.Enough about that. You're here to read about my life so all I have to say is
be ready for one hell of a ride.
