Catherine's POV

I can't believe what I was doing. I was actually going to tell my dad. I just hope with all my heart that he will understand.

I walked into the hallway, about to enter my dad's office. When suddenly as I was about to knock the door flew open exposing a very angry Govenor Samuel.

"This is madness while my people are starving you're cutting our precious food supply for the Tributes!" The Govenor yelled and shaked his finger at my dad as he exited the Presidental office.

"Now, now Govenor Samuel we are giving your District the same amount of food as we always do but, we must make sure our tributes have a feast shall we not?" The President calmly said.

"I will not let you leave my people to suffer I'm done here." Govenor Samuel turned around and started heading towards the exit.

"Guards please escort Govenor Samuel to his train car." The President firmly told two of the guards. They saluted and turned away.

A few minutes later my dad realized I had been standing there.

"Sorry Catherine is there something you wanted to tell me?" He smiled and stepped right in front of me.

"Daddy, I'm...I'm pregnant." I stuttered out.

I did it. I finally did it.

My dad's smile faded. He gave me a stern look.

"You're what?" He asked me again.

That's not the reaction I wished for.

"Daddy please understand that I didn't want this to happen it just...Did." I reassured him.

He was furious. Absolutely furious.

He sat down in one of the chairs in the hallway that is usually used just for decoration.

"Catherine Elizabeth Maria Hansley what the hell were you thinking doing something so...So...Awful? I thought you were smarter then that!" He screamed at me with all his might.

Tears rolled down my cheeks. He has never been this misunderstanding and mean.

"Daddy you have to understand that I didn't want this." I choked out. He got up and started walking in circles.

"Go to your room I don't want to see your face right now!" He screamed at me.

I was slowly starting to walk away when I turned around to take one last look at him.

"You know what? I'm going to teach you a serious lesson, you and all of Panem." He didn't even look at me before he hurried off into his office slamming the door.

I knew nothing was ever going to be the same again.
