So it's been close to a year since I've written...oops. But I'm wondering where this story can go, so here we are, chapter 3...
***
The final bell rang and I pushed myself past the hundreds of students flocking the hallways. It's Friday, which means all I want to do is go home and relax, and after the week I've had, I should. As I open my locker and roughly shove my books in the scratched, purple door, I drop my books everywhere. I'm so done with this week.First things first, on Monday, my little brother Jackson, went on a rampage in my room thinking I hid his iPod or something from him. He pulled the drawers from my, what was, neat and tidy dresser out, trying to find it and kicked and pulled my clothes about my room. He sprayed all my perfume to leave empty glass bottles all over the place! My mother came home to the state and he was grounded immediately but you should have seen me! I was so angry, I chased him around our entire house for a good twenty minutes.
On Wednesday, our class received our final exams back for English. Guess who failed. This girl. The test brings down my average by I don't even know how much. I don't want to think about it. And the best part is, this is my junior year. The year that counts. I'm so disappointed in myself, I can't believe that that happened. It shouldn't have happened.
Don't even get me started on yesterday. I didn't have any proper clothes to wear, and no perfume. I just tied my hair in messy bun and wore sweat pants because really, one day looking bad, is alright. That's what I thought at least... I looked like a slob. Trin, Amy, and Lacy were major confused and avoided me all day, it showed where they stood. Deb still hasn't talked to me! No one talked to me all day! Is my appearance all I have? In p.e, some jock sort of idiot was looking at me weird in gym. My self confidence definitely took a hit. Some friends I have.
I pick up all my strewn papers and books and am surprised when someone taps me on the shoulder. I turn around and am faced by Cody.
"Hey!" He says as he picks up my science text book and failed exam. He looks down at the exam, "ouch, that sucks."
I shrug and kneel back down, picking up my math text book. "It's fine." I swallow the forming lump in my throat, I don't want to think about that.
I stand back up, trying to avoid the topic of my exam. "So uh, what are you still doing here?" I ask"Oh!" He chuckles, "Right." He picks up the last paper and hands it to me. "I'm here playing a soccer game, I just gotta change, it starts in," he reaches for his back pocket and grabs his phone. "Forty-seven minutes, practice starts in thirty." He smiles "But I saw you and wanted to see you. How are you?"
"Uh...good?" I say obviously lying.
"I can tell you're lying." He frowns,
"What's wrong?"I smile a bit, happy that someone's asking. "I've just had a crappy week"
He lightens up, "Well, if you want to talk, here's my number."
I slowly laugh "What makes you so sure I want it?"
He laughs, "Oh, I know you do. Let me see your phone."I pull my phone out of the pocket of my faded jeans, "here." I say, unlocking it and passing it to him. I smile a bit inside. I normally don't date but damn, this boy is special.
"I made myself a contact. You better text me." Cody says, running off.
"we'll see" I yell, closing my locker and waving with a slight smirk.

I pull my duvet over my legs and grab my phone and headphones laying beside me. I put on the most relaxing song I have, on- Breathe by Anna Nalick, as I open my laptop and start up Netflix. My phone buzzes and I check my texts. Deb texts me.
Wow.
"Hey! So what are your plans for the weekend?"
I debate on texting back but decide I better.
"Not much," I'm trying to not engage to much.
"There's a huge party, and Zach is wanting us to go"
Zach? Don't tell me there dating now, I don't talk to her for one day and they are already hooking up?
"Are you and him dating?" I text back
"Yeah, sorta I went home with him today and we hooked up. He just left, but he's really cute, so I wanna see him again""Jesus," I murmur to myself and roll my eyes.
I text back, "okay."
I immediately get a response,
"So, are you coming or not?!"
"No I'm good, I'm not in a party mood." And with that, I turn my music and phone off and start a new season of Grey's Anatomy.~*~
Saturday mornings are always boring and best begun with a latte. I push myself out of bed and head to my kitchen to start up my coffee machine. As the machine is making a hell of a noise, I check Instagram and Twitter. And see I have two notifications. My old friend, Andy, tagged me in a photo of us from grade three. Life was really simple back then. I also see I have a new follower.
@codydominic started following you
I tap on the profile and find out its Cody. That reminds me, I better call him.
I shuffle through my apps and find contacts. I find Cody and call him.
"Hey!"
Almost instantly I receive a reply.
"So," he says "about this prom"
I laugh to myself
"Yeah?" I ask
"Do you need a date?" He questions,
I really like him. What to do? I decide to play with him for a bit.
"Would you be the date?"
"Yes I would."
"Well I think that would be acceptable."
"Great. I'll see your way beautiful self in your amazing dress on...?"
"Saturday, June 14th, doors open at seven," I reply
"A month from now. Can't wait Lucy."
A rush flows through my body and goes directly to my stomach. Like thousands of butterflies were released. I reply "Pick me up at 6:00"
"Okay, ttyl💕" Cody responds. I blush and let out a little scream. I can't believe I've got a date to prom!~*~
"I hate Mr. Davidson! He's so old and boring." Deb sighed
"He's actually kinda cute." Lacey admitted biting her lip
"Gross, no!" Amy replied, smacking Lacey on the arm. As usual, I was zoned out of the conversation, I didn't really have anything to add."Lucy!" Trin screams
"What?" I say startled
"Do you have a date?" They all ask in unison
"Uh-" Amy interrupts me,
"I'm going with Brandon, Lacey is going with Jayden, Trin is going with Will, and Deb is going with...uh...Zach" Amy frowns but turns her attention back to me.
"So that leaves you!" I relax my body, leaning back on the table. Lacy moves closer to me,"You could go with that cutie Jack, or the basket-ball player Trent?"
Deb stands in front of me.
"Or Hayden, Jesus, Austin, or Ross? They'd all die to go with you!""Wait!" Trin exclaims, "what about that guy from the mall?" She claps her hands excitedly. "Cody?" She asks,
"Well..." I say looking at all of them, "he already asked me."
My group of friends look anxious for an answer
"And, I said yes."
Before I know it, I am pulled into a hug full of jumping girls
"Yes!" They all scream.

So, I haven't updated in close to a year, but I'm wondering where this story can go.What did you think about Zach and Deb?
Do you think Amy still has feelings for him?
What about Cody asking her to the prom, and Lucy saying yes?
