Exorcist

Kira Hara POV

  I waved good bye to my classmates and my professor. Then headed to my next class.
  I walk into my class room and automatically all eyes are on me. The blue skin toned half demon in a room filled with humans.
  I sit down in the front as usual. Immediately a boy walks up to my desk. He slams his hands on my desk shaking it vigorously.
  "What's someone like you doing here?"the boy asked smirking.
  "I want to become an exorcist,"I answered.
  He chuckled and stepped back a bit.
  "Things like you don't belong here,"he jabbed.
  I ignored him. I have my reasons of being here.
  "That's enough!"the professor yelled,"take your seat mister Alexander."
  He did as he was told and the professor started his lesson. I payed attention but it was hard to ignore the whispers behind me. I tend to imagine things but sometimes they sound so real.
"Look at her."
  "What's she doing here?"
  "Is she gonna hurt us?"
  "Disgusting!"
  Again I have my reasons....

  I just needed to get through this class....

  And everything would be fine...

  "We will be having group projects everyone,"the professor said,"so I would consider making friends."
  Of course in the class I'm the most hated. If this was alchemy or witch craft it would be fine. But no it has to be stupid exorcism class.
  "Pick your groups everyone,"he said.
  Every body else picked pretty quickly and I was stuck by my self in the front. A lone stranger in the middle of the room. This is where someone comes up to be my friend. At least that's how it is in movies. But that's not how it's gonna be here.
  I got up and walked over to the group next to me. I was determined to show them who I really was.

"Hi I'm Kira!"I said with a smile plastered on my face.
They all looked up at me strangely. As if I was threatening them with my sharp teeth.
"Hi...,"a girl with black hair and and blue eyes said.
"Oh don't tell me the demon gonna be in our group!"a boy wined.
I've heard that one before.
"Yes! Mr. Alika yes she is now I expect you to treat her with respect,"the teacher.
The boy sighed and sat down. We started the project which was to study different types of demons and write a report along with a presentation. Sounds boring but you have to know the core classes before you start fighting. We each were assigned to find certain things from the two exorcist we were given to research.
"Who's gonna take powers of the exorcist?"the leader of the group asked. She was the girl who introduced herself to me.
"I'll take that!"the boy from earlier said.
"What about the history?"
"I'll take that,"I responded.
"And I'll do the current event and news of them,"she said,"we will talk about the report and presentation later."
The loud bell tower rang for the next class. I gathered my stuff and left the classroom to my next class spell casting.
  I finished up my classes for the day then headed to the market.

Meet me at the pinky cafe-Kira

  The pinky cafe was more on the cutesy side of town but everyone still loved it. I sat down in a marshmallow themed bean bag. A pick of colorful pastel macaroons laid on the table with cups of tea and coffee around it. Karin and Hinata walked in. They were inseparable.
  Hinata gave a quick wave with a bright smile. Her roses cheeks brightly shining in the fluorescent light. Karin was behind her shyly smiling. Her pink blushing cheeks and nose as if she had been out in the cold. Her skin a pale cream almost as if lavender like her hair.
  Chota and pixie stepped in together. Pixie clinging on Chota with her life. They were clearly a match. Chota enjoyed the attention.
  They seemed like exact opposites though. Pixie was bright and bubbly and Chota was very bad boy type. He didn't care what people thought of him just like me.
  "Wassup Kira!"Chota yelled.
  I waved and moved over a seat for them.
  Next came in Ji Han. His pale complexion was poreless and soft. He had already gotten the called a Kpop artist and actor. Especially since he loved acting and writing. He smiled softly and waved.
  "Hi Kira."
  "Hi Ji Han!"
  He sat beside me and we started eating macaroons.
  "This seems like the place Ari would like," I said.
  "Ya it does,"Kira replied.
  "So how do you guys know Kira?"Chota asked the two girls.
  "We are roommates,"Hinata replied.
  Chota nodded.
  "How was your first class guys?"I asked everybody.
  "Boring! Karin wasn't in my class,"Hinata said.
  "I took literature while she took gardening,"Karin answered.
  "Ya we were in class together right?"Ji Han asked.
  "Ya!"she replied.
  "What else are you in?"I asked.
  "Creative writing, art, theatre, and music."
  "Wow your really creative Karin!"I said happily.
  "Those are all my classes!"Ji Han shouted smiling.
  "That's great!"Karin said joyfully.
  "Well it's getting late do y'all wanna head home?"Hinata asked.
  "Umm it's only 5...,"Chota said raising a brow.
  "Ya but we have lots of homework so...,"Hinata said her voice going quiet.
  "Umm that's good,"Karin said quietly.
  Karin stood up and took Hinata's hand. She looked up at her and smiled then looked back at me. I stood up as well and walked over to them.
  "I come with you and walk you back,"Ji Han offered.
  I nodded and we headed out the door. Leaving Chota and Pixie to do their own thing.
  We headed home laughing the entire way back. Hinata was quiet the whole way back. Something was wrong but I couldn't tell what.
We entered our room saying goodbye to Ji Hun. Somiko was at her desk playing that new game. Overwatch? Is that what it was called.
  I crept up behind her and read the chat.
  "Who's Fang?"I teased.
  She screamed and spun around quickly.
  "Don't scare me like that!"she yelled.
  I laughed,"sorry sorry I just had to."
  She rolled her eyes and took of her headset.
  She typed in the chat.
Hey gotta go for a sec. roommates just got home.
  The name Fang popped up a second later.
Be back soon!
  She chuckled then turned around again leaning back in her chair.
  "Where's pixie?"I asked.
  "With her boyfriend,"Kira answered.
  "Kira do you like Ji Hun?"Hinata asked.
  "No!"I yelled astonished by the question,"where'd you get that idea?"
  "They way he looks at you,"Hinata replies.
  I was about to speak when Ari walked outof the bathroom. She was wearing pink pastel pajamas with hearts on them.
"Are you still playing that game?"Ari asked.
"Yep and your still constantly worrying about your looks,"Somiko replied snarkly.
She rolled her eyes and smiled then laid on the bed. Her feet kicking up in the air like a child.
"Anyways I got homework,"I said pulling out an alchemy book and an exorcist book.
"How was an exorcist class as a demon?"Ari asked.
"Half demon and pretty horrible. Just a bunch a stereotypical jerks,"I replied.
"You sounds like Iris,"Karin chuckled.
"Who's that?"I asked.
"She's a girl from my favorite comic on WEBTOON,"Karin answered.
"It's ok I like I Love Yoo though,"Somiko added.
"I'll check it out what's it called?"I asked.
"April Flowers,"Karin smiled.
I started working on my homework. Something caught my eye. A thin piece of paper slipped in between the book pages. It had bold curly elegant letters that said:

I was curious but I didn't know what to think. What does that mean. A room number a code. Something. A page number. Yes that had to be it. I flipped my book quickly to page 262. There was nothing there. Actually the page was blank. Utterly and completely blank. I looked at the crinkle page with confusion then put the book aside. It was starting to get late and I had finished most of my homework. So it was okay to go to bed.
Ari had clocked out and so did Pixie. Somiko was still playing video games and Hinata was playing on her phone. Karin was reading. Maybe she would know something she was all into this stuff. I texted her.

I plugged my phone up then set it on my bedside table. I turned off my light then snuggled up under covers.

I know I haven't posted in a while but I've been super busy. There will hopefully be more to this series but I'm going to try to make chapters longer so it might take a while getting them up.
