The Abandoned House

Chapter 2

The girls sat their Barden University dorm rooms for hours thinking of how their day with each other will go. Although to them it felt like days. At 6:40 pm Chloe cleaned up her dorm, grabbed her purse and headed to In & Out Burger. Beca full of excitement did the same 10 minutes earlier. When Chloe arrived to the restaurant at 7:05 she saw the tiny brunette in a booth playing games on her phone. The redhead giggled to herself at how bored and cute Beca looked as she sat across from her. "Hey look who showed up." Beca joked. "I was only 5 minutes late! Sheesh." "Well I'm glad you made it Ginger." God did Chloe love when Beca called her nicknames. The two talked and ate their dinner. The small DJ ate more than Chloe thought she could. At 8pm Beca saw that they were both finished eating and she suggested "Drive behind me. We'll go to my house and we can walk to the abandoned house from there." "Sound good." Chloe said trying to sound normal to hid all the excitement that she was going to Beca Mitchell's house. The girls parents don't live far from Barden but they decided to live on campus for the full college experience. When the girls arrived to Beca's house her parents weren't there, they were out at a Halloween party. The DJ gave Chloe a tour of her home and lastly her room. It was just how Chloe imagined it. Yes she's imagined Beca's room before. The walls were red and had a few big posters of DJ type artists like David Guetta, Skrillex, and Deadmou5. Her room was surprisingly clean. After small talk and showing Chloe around it was about 9pm. Trick or treaters have already starting knocking on doors for candy. The girls knew they did because some kids have knocked on Beca's door and the two would jump behind the living room couch laughing and tackling each other to be quiet until the kids walked off. Beca decided it was late enough and dark enough to go to the abandoned house. "I'm really nervous." Chloe said followed by a shy laugh. "Don't be. Me and my friends used to walk around this neighborhood and in the house all the time during high school. Nothing bad ever happened except this one time. But forget about that." Beca winked and chuckled at how scared Chloe was getting and how curious she was to know what happened that one time. The brunette got snacks, flashlights, and other little things they'd need on their adventure and put them in a small bag then locked up her home and the two set off to the house.
