"𝐋𝐞𝐭 𝐦𝐞 𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐡𝐢𝐦!" Morgan's first words upon regaining consciousness were a fierce declaration. She had just come to after being knocked out by Stiles, missing all the chaos that had unfolded while the nogitsune had thrown her against the wall.
Instead of the comforting news she had hoped for, Morgan was met with the shocking reality that Stiles had once again managed to escape, this time taking her precious baby Nova with him. The moment she realized her daughter was in danger, her instincts kicked in, and her fangs and claws emerged, a physical manifestation of the rage coursing through her. It was as if every fiber of her being was ignited with a fierce protectiveness, and she was ready to unleash that fury on anyone who stood in her way.
Derek and Scott quickly intervened, physically restraining Morgan as she attempted to storm out of the loft in pursuit of Stiles. The tension in the room was thick, with Morgan's fury clashing against the need for calm. Thankfully, her fiancé stepped in, managing to soothe her with words of reassurance, insisting that the nogitsune wouldn't harm Nova. Yet, even as he spoke, Derek couldn't shake the nagging doubt in his mind, unsure if he truly believed that Stiles would keep the baby safe.
Derek was a bundle of nerves, just like the mother, as he fretted over their daughter's abduction. Instead of letting anger take over, he focused on figuring out where the nogitsune had taken Nova and why. Still, it didn't stop him from venting his frustration by punching a few walls, feeling the sting of helplessness as his family faced danger once more.
Peter finally approached the other werewolf after tending to his nephew's fiancé, noticing the nasty wound on his shoulder from the previous night's skirmish. "What are you doing? And more importantly, why aren't you healing?" he asked, concerned. Morgan felt completely useless, stuck waiting around while the nogitsune remained elusive, making it impossible to track down the missing teen and baby. Despite the chaos, both parents clung to a sliver of hope that Nova was still alive. That small spark of happiness fueled their determination, pushing them to conserve their strength for the inevitable showdown with the nogitsune.
Derek grumbled as he examined the chess pieces he had collected, insisting, "It's from one of their swords. It'll heal." Peter couldn't believe his ears; Derek was usually a bundle of nerves when his family was in danger. Instead of the expected fury, he was unnervingly composed, which only added to Peter's confusion.
Peter could see the frustration in Derek's eyes, knowing he felt helpless while his child was in peril. But Derek was focused, determined to share his thoughts with Peter. He explained, "Back in his room, Stiles had a board with my name on one of the pieces. If this is a game to him, then I need to figure out how he plays."
