In the morning, Jungkook woke up, feeling pain is his throat. He didn't think much about it at first, but as the day progressed, his pain started to become sharper and sharper.

He went out to the garden to see the seeds they planted together. They were already growing, showing little leaves. Jungkook thought about Taehyung.

Then, out of nowhere, he started to cough. He wasn't just coughing, he felt like he was choking. He gasped for air, his hands were at his mouth when he felt like he spat something out. He was too afraid to look at it at first, fearing it being blood. It wasn't.

He noticed a small flower in his hands.

- D-Did I cough up a...flower?

Him being shocked was an understatement, after all, nothing like this should ever happen to anyone under normal circumstances.

He still felt sick, so he went inside and put the small flower on the table. He decided to rest a bit.

He fell asleep eventually.

He had strange and random dreams, like him constantly falling, not being able to breathe but the next moment he found himself floating on the surface of some kind of water. He looked around and figured it was the stream in the forest. He wanted to swim to the land, but he wasn't able to move. He started panicking, but suddenly felt a warm touch on his shoulder. It was Taehyung. As he saw him, he calmed down and realised he was able to move again. Taehyung spread his arms and Jungkook went into his embrace. He closed his eyes for a couple of seconds and when he opened them, he was laying on top of a bed, made out of flowers. He looked around, desperatey searching for Taehyung, but he was nowhere to be found. He started to cough, just like in the garden. As he was gasping for air, he woke up in cold sweat. He tried to collect his thoughts, with little luck.

After getting up, he figured that it wasn't so late, because the sun was still shining bright outside. He wanted to clear his head out, after the events from morning and his dreams, he had to take a small break.

He wandered around, and he ended up at the river.

- Taehyung? - he asked softly.

The brush behind him started to move, showing Taehyung coming towards him. They smiled at each other, but Taehyung knew right away that something wasn't okay.

- Why are you worried, Jungkook? - he asked calmly.

The boy wasn't surprised that the other noticed his anxiousness, he knew Taehyung could sense these kind of things.

- Do you know what kind of flower this is? - he asked, showing the flower he coughed up to the boy.

Taehyung's eyes went wide as he carefully took the flower from the boy's hands.

- Where did you find this? - he asked, still being shocked.

- It's really weird...I started coughing and...it came out of my mouth.

He felt really embarassed telling this to Taehyung, but he wanted to let it off his chest.

- It's weird for sure...Do you mind if I have it?

- W-Why would you? It's from my mouth...It's nasty...

- Jungkook, this is a cosmos flower.

The boy was shocked. The only thing that could keep the fairy boy alive was from...him.

- Of course! Oh my...If I can find out how was I able to...make it, I can them to you all the time and you won't be sick! - he said, enthusiasm glowing in his eyes.

Taehyung showed a smile, yet it seemed sad.

- Thank you. - he said, as he softly caressed the other's head.

Jungkook immediately calmed down and felt at ease as soon as he felt the other's warm touch.

- I'm sorry, but I have to go now, but I promise, I'll visit you tomorrow, okay?

- Okay... - Jungkook was a little bit dejected that Taehyung had to leave, but the words of the boy echoed in his head. He also had a way to cure the other, so he wasn't feeling all blue after all.

They waved goodbye.

Taehyung, however went to the darker side of the forest, where the river ended. He kneeled down and stared into the stream.

- What is happening to him?

Letters, syllables, then words slowly began to show up on the surface of the water.

"Hanahaki"

Taehyung's worst fear came true. He knew what that meant, and was well aware of the consequences.

Getting the flowers meant that Jungkook had to suffer from one-sided love, mainly for him, because there wasn't anyone around the boy could have developped feelings for, let alone Taehyung could read his thoughts almost every time. He didn't want Jungkook to suffer for him, but if he didn't get the flowers, he would die soon.

He was thinking hard for an hour, and came to the painful conclusion that he would try to reject every feeling from Jungkook, until he gets enough flower to be able to live normally, and then he would do anything possible to cure the boy. This was the only way, he figured.

That meant however, that a hard phase was coming and Jungkook wasn't even aware of anything.
