Hi, my name is Abril, Abril Showers to be exact, it means April Showers. My parents were a big fan of the saying 'April Showers Bring May Flowers' so they decided to become unique with my name. I have teal eyes mixed with a bold black outline on the outside. I had my favorite purple dress on with my black shoes and walked downstairs down into the heart of the castle. My parents were sitting there having breakfast while sharing a conversation. I curtsy once they noticed me.
"Good morning, mother and father." I said while maintaining a curtsy.
They nodded at me, then replied, "Good morning, Abril. You may stand."
I stood and continued my way to the breakfast table. I bit my lip before I decided to tell them what I had hoped for the past few years. I didn't know how to say it so I sat down in the chair and started messing with my breakfast.
"Abril, don't play with your food. You should know that by now! You're almost 18 for crying out loud!" Mom complained.
I started eating and looked up at my parents. I finally had the courage to ask them. I knew Dad would be on my side, at least I hope so. On the other hand, Mom probably won't be. I take a deep breath and open my mouth...
"Mom, Dad, I want..."
