Chapter 1

**Alexis's POV**

"We should take a walk someday, dream about what we could've been, I don't want to leave this place, no faith in Brooklyn."

I turned around and dreadfully shut my alarm off. As I laid down and looked up at my ceiling, I realized today was the day; the day that most kids had looked forward to since the beginning of school.

But no, not me

This was the day I had been dreading since I found out the news..........

Quickly, my thoughts were interrupted as my mom walked through my door. " ALEXA !!!! why are you still in bed! Jordan and Mackenzie will be here in 30 minutes to pick you up," she shouted at me.

shit, I didn't realize how long I had been laying here.

"Alright, fine, I'm getting up," I lazily replied. And with that my mom walked out the door.

I quickly jumped out of bed and put on some music to get ready to. Since I was already running late, I left my dirty blond hair in my natural waves for the day. After, I washed my face, and brushed my teeth. Then put on my light washed high waisted jean shorts, a maroon cami, and a cream cardigan with maroon vans. By the time I finished getting dressed I only had 15 minutes left. I ran to my vanity and applied a small amount of foundation, powder, and mascara. After that, I rushed down the stairs and grabbed a granola bar as I heard my friends pull up and honk the horn. Before leaving the house, I grabbed my i phone and backpack. " Bye mom" I yelled as I slammed the front door shut and ran to the car in my lawn.

"Who's excited for the last day?" questioned Jordan from the backseat.

"I am," screamed Mackenzie excitedly!

"What about you Lexi" they questioned uneasily.

"I'm excited, but am definitely going to miss everybody here." I replied with a sigh.

"Hey! On the bright side, school is finally out and it's summer!!!" said Jordan, trying to lighten up the mood.

Before any of us could reply, we arrived at school, and met up with caleb and jake at our usual meeting area outside.We talked a little more then the bell rang, signaling us to proceed to class.

Before I knew it, I was already back in the parking lot waiting for Mackenzie and Jordan. They finally meet up with me and dropped me off.

As I entered my house, I tiredly walked up the stairs and through the hallways that lead to my room. Or should I say what's even left of my room. I quickly took a hot shower, got into comfy pjs, and did the rest of my night time routine. After, I hopped into bed, and stayed on my phone a bit longer. Around 10:00, I turned out the lights, and forced myself to sleep for the big day I have coming tomorrow.
