To be honest, I don't know why I'm writing to you but it's your birthday so guess what? You're 13!! The big teens... kinda jealous to be honest, but I'll be there in two months!! Can you believe we're getting that old?
Anyway, I can't believe I was the only one you invited over for your b-day party, hyung. You said it was because you liked me better than your other friends ... when you said that, it made my stomach and heart do this weird thing and I don't know why. It made me feel oddly happy..? I don't know how to explain it haha. It's a strange feeling and I really don't know what it means, but that's okay! You're my best friend, so that's probably normal.
It was so much fun. The cake your mom made for us was the best and I'm so glad you liked my present. I kinda knew you'd already like it because you had been telling me how much you wanted that specific card game that came out a while ago. You were so excited that right after we ate, you dragged me to my treehouse (with our parents permission, of course ッ) and we played for hours on end. I can't believe you made me sleep outside with all those bugs... they were all over me and I knew you felt bad because you hugged me when we laid down on the floor of my treehouse. Again, my stomach did that weird thing. I hope it stops when I'm around you... it's starting to get more frequent.
Eventually we just talked about the constellations, saw a few shooting stars, then fell asleep. I don't know why I felt the need to write this but I don't think I'm actually going to send this to you. You'd probably think I'm weird because of the heart/stomach thing so it's best just staying with me.. I wouldn't want you to worry!
Anyway, happy birthday Jiminie-hyung! Love you, bro! (BTW there's a picture enclosed with the letter!)
