*GRADUATION FROM THE ACADEMY*

I as getting ready to walk across the stage and offially graduate from the police academy. I already knew where I was going, Special Victims, all I want is to help women in need. My sister, Olivia Benson just made sergeant of the squad, and I was more than ready to be by her and the squad.

"Angelina Benson" the announcer says, I have the biggest smile on my face, Olivia in the front row trying her hardest to not jump out of her chair and make a fool of herself. Olivia has been there for me through it all, she's basically my mom and she's why I am even walking across this stage. Olivia knew from when I was a kid she told me "Angel, you're gonna be a police officer when you grow up" I always kinda brushed her off with a laugh or something, but then I started criminal justice classes. I fell in love with the subject, and I walked home from school one day and said "liv, you were right, I'm gonna join the academy when I'm old enough." Here we are, as Olivia had predicted all those years ago.

After the ceremony was over I was looking for Liv but she found me first and hugged me tight "I'm so proud of you Angel, I always knew you could do it" I nodded "I just wanted to follow my sister's advicde" she laughed and we headed back to the apartment me, her and her boyfriend Brian were living.

We walked into the door and quite a few people jumped up congratulating me. They all hugged me, I had no idea who they were besides Brian. Olivia came up behind me and wrapped her arm around my shoulder "so Angel, this is the squad" she pointed to a blonde headed girl "that's Amanda Rollins" Amanda waved at me, then she pointed to a young blonde guy, really goofy "that's Dominick Carisi" he waved at me "call me sonny" I nodded. Olivia then pointed to an older guy "that's Fin", then she pointed at a hispanic man that had black hair, gorgeous brown eyes and built like a god from what I could see "that is Nick Amaro, your partner." I blinked "he's my partner?" She nodded and Nick came up and shook my hand "I've heard a lot about you from Liv" I smiled "That's my big sister for you, always talking about me" Olivia started laughing "well someone had to look out for you." I nodded and hugged her, then Amanda started pouring drinks and lifted her glass "to Angel, may you have many years and good times with our squad" I giggled and everyone raised their glasses "cheers" they all said then we all kinda spread out.

Since I didn't know anyone too well I just sat on the couch and looked through my facebook. Someone came up to me and I looked up "what's the guest of honor doing alone?" It was Nick, I blushed and looked back down "kinda nervous around new people." He chuckled and sat down "well since I'm your partner I should go ahead and get to know you." I nodded "you already know I'm Liv's younger sister" he nodded "yeah but what made you go into the academy?" I looked at him and sipped at my glass "well when I was in high school, I was in ROTC and criminal justice so once I started studying the law and such I furthered that into college and studied in Paralegal and HATED it. So after I got my associates degree, I decided, fuck it, I know I want to be a cop and help mainly women and children. Then Olivia told me about her squad and I knew that's where I had to be" he nodded "that's good, I'm glad you had the motivation to do the work we do, really look forward to working with you." This made me blush again "yeah me too Nick"

As the time went by, the apartment was just too noisy so me and Nick went into my bedroom which was on the opposite side of the apartment. We were sitting on my bed and he started talking about his little girl Zara and his ex-wife Maria."I think you and Zara would get along well" I chuckled "from what I've learned about you, my son would love you" he smiled "how old is your son?" I finished off my 5th glass for the night "he's 9, his name is Adam. He's with my ex Jeremy right now" he kept smiling "I'd love to meet him" I smiled at him, as tipsy as I was, I blurted out "Nick, I think you're pretty hot" I immediately covered my mouth when I realized what I had said. He still smiled at me "you're pretty hot too Angelina" I blushed "my sister would murder me if she found out I was dating my partner" I started laughing and Nick chuckled "well you're 28, you don't need her approval" I looked at him "Well you have a point, but I really want to get to know you, your daughter and maybe start off something good here." He nodded "yeah, of course and I want to meet Adam and get to know you more." We continued talking until 1am and then everyone started going home, I walked Nick out and when we got to his car he cupped my face and kissed me. I kissed back and wrapped my arms around his neck, after we pulled away "Liv CANNOT know about this yet." He laughed "not yet, princess but, once we introduce the kids and all, can't really hide it anymore." I scratched the back of my neck "you have a point Nick" he smiled at me "this is about us not Olivia." I smiled back and he kissed me again "I better go in before she gets suspicious, you are the last one to leave" he nodded and got into his car "text me when you get home Nick, so I know you're safe" he held my hand "I will, I promise princess." He pulled out of the parking spot and headed home.
