Chapter 11

In the blink of an eye, another few days passed and Cheng Cheng finally gathered up his balls and asked Daphne out. Cheng Cheng had been low-key crushing on Daphne for the longest time ever and vice versa. Zheng Ting, being the supportive mom, nearly cried tears of joy as he hid in the corner to watch yet another one of his sons growing up right before his eyes.

Natasha woke up to the feeling of her sinking into the couch as she slightly shivered due to the air conditioner in the room. She took a quick glance at the clock and then to the dude next to her. He was sitting next to her completely knocked out as well, hair covering his eyes and as usual his tie was loosened around the blouse that was unbuttoned on the top. The clock showed 5pm and it was 2hrs away from prom but Natasha and Justin had been at the venue since 8 this morning doing the final touch. The moving of tables, putting up of decorations, settling all the food that was ordered, running around buying things that was needed but was not seen like plates and cups for the food and drinks were done the previous day but despite that, Natasha and Justin were completely drained of energy. They blew around 1000 balloons and carried like 100 cartons of food and both of them were dead tired. They ensured everything was perfect at 4.30 and Natasha decided to take a nap at a random waiting room she found, considering the fact that she didn't need more than 2 hrs to change into her dress, put some makeup and do her hair. After lowkey waking up her half asleep ass she turned to look at Justin who looked like he was slowly falling asleep again while standing there holding two bottles of water. cute. 

"喝。" ( "drink.")

Natasha jumped a little when Justin suddenly shot his eyes open and spoke up while pushing a bottle straight into her face. She slowly took it from his hands and opened the bottle.

"谢了。" ( "thanks.")

Justin suddenly ran a hand through his hair and loosened his tie even more. He leaned back on the sofa and let out a loud sigh. Obviously, Natasha noticed it and like anyone else would do,she stared at him. Fortunately, she herself realized it before he could and turned away taking big gulps of her water, not knowing it was actually taken out from the fridge. She was already cold enough from the air conditioner and this cold water isn't helping. She stopped drinking as she starting coughing hard while shaking like she was in north pole.

"小姐，喝这么快干嘛？你不冷啊？" ( "Dude omg slow down. Aren't you cold?")

 Natasha couldn't answer Justin as she continued coughing and shivering and slightly nodding her head. Justin giggled at how cute she was."What the heck, did I just think that she was cute? I need some holy water." Justin thought before grabbing his jacket next to him and slightly tossing it to Natasha. Natasha thought it was kinda weird to be wearing Justin's jacket but she was too cold to reject so she just quickly put it on. The warmth of his jacket made her very sleepy. If she knew it was gonna be so tiring she would have slept earlier last night. She quickly shook her head to wake herself up.

"外套你就留着吧。今天结束之前再还给我。" ( "You can keep the jacket till the end of today.")

"谢谢。" ( "Thanks.")

Justin stood up ready to take his leave from the room. He was about to speak but he turned around and saw Natasha on the sofa, sleeping again. "Omg this dude should get some sleep at night, what was she doing." He walked to where she was at....

The loud sound rang in Natasha's ear as she woke up in the room. She was looking around for her friends that she had been waiting for when she saw their message. "We reached but saw you sleeping and then just went to the toilet change, coming back in a while." She reached out for her phone that was placed on the table next to her and turned off the alarm. Her phone vibrated in her hand as she received yet another message.

Justin:
Yo dude, I figured out you should be awake around this time, don't get freaked out by the alarm, I actually set it for you lmao, it was such a relief that your phone had no password. Yes its 5.30 now and like I thought you'd needed some rest but also time to get ready. So there you go you had your 30 mins of beauty sleep better so u better do a good job later getting ready. Bought an energy drink for you on the table, I mean you bought one for me that time when I taught you the dance. So drink up and let's do well later. Also I'm speaking in English right now because I'm really done with typing in chinese.

You:
HAHA I actually woke up so I guess um thanks? And thanks for da drink.

Justin:
WAT! What do you mean by I guess, you need to learn to be more grateful lil kiddo

You:
Actually I should thank myself more, after all I chose not to set a password. :)

Justin:
I- ok nvm. But you better start preparing and make yourself presentable in front of the whole school.

You:
Oh yea thats true so BYEEE

Natasha sent the last message then she turned off her phone and quickly changed inside the wardrobe of the room because she was feeling lazy to walk to the toilet. She finished changing when Emma Ziwen and Daphne suddenly burst into the room. It was around 6.45 when all of them finished touching up everything with the help of each other here and there. Natasha picked up the jacket that belonged to Justin, hoping to find him and return it to him in this 15 mins. But well she received a message from the teacher in the council chat. 

"Justin and Natasha please get yourself ready, It's 15mins before the ballroom door opens for your friends. I think yall are in one of the preparation rooms but come to the main ballroom at this moment to do the last checking of everything, thank you."

Natasha placed the jacket on the table while she rummaged through her bag to find the CDs needed for the dj booth. She bid goodbye to her friends as they stayed in the preparing room waiting for the doors of the ballroom to open while quickly went in there to check on stuffs. As usual her clumsy soul ran out of the room only with the CDs and her phone in her hand. Where was the jacket? She actually forgot about it *facepalm*

Natasha reached the ballroom a lil bit later than Justin because I mean how fast can she run with that long ass dress right. But neither of them knew that each other were already there. They looked around searching for each other and then there they were, like 2metres away from each other. And when their eyes met, they felt something that they probably felt before. A girl in a prom dress looking beautiful as ever and a guy who was in a suit staring straight into each other's eyes.

Their hearts were beating fast. And it only happens when they're together. 

"What is this feeling in me?"
