Broken

Chapter 4

*Flashback*
   "Hey T... What are we gonna do", he asked softly with tears running down his cheeks. I used my finger to wipe them, we were in my bed cuddling. I shrugged. At this point we both were numb, the doctor said I had only days to live, along with the baby.
  Jack and I have grown distant, but it's our anniversary. We both agreed to hold each other until the days over with. Tomorrow Jack starts at Yale, leaving me with Kathy. "It's easier to let you go then to stay and watch you leave", he cried. I just pulled him to my chest, holding him tighter. Hoping the moment would never end.
  "I promise to wear the ring", I said to Jack. He looked up through his bloodshot light brown eyes. The spark is gone, I can't see his Beautiful Soul. He smiled slightly, but I seen through it. He's sad, he wants to be here with me. "I love you", he said for the first time. I felt a tear roll down my cheek. He kissed the tear away, until he reached my lips.
  He put his head back on my chest. Seconds later, there was soft snores coming from his slightly opened mouth. I ran my fingers through his disheveled light brown hair. "I love you most". I closed my eyes hoping this was a dream.
